there were some really good faces in ROTK that would make excellent figures, but i was a little disapointed to not see so many Uruk-Hai.  But who was that guy who had 1 eye and had the skin color of a pig? I couldnt tell if he was a Orc or a Uruk-Hai?

 :D Brilliant.

Toy Biz is cheap. I looked again ot the Bilbo included with the TaBA set and it doesn't look anything like Bilbo did in the movie, at least to me.

Sloth from the Goonies.

My wife pointed out the same thing the moment that character first appeared...  Pretty funny.   :P

Actually, there's no Uruk Hai in ROTK because only Saruman had the UH's...  They were unique to his army I guess (My brother's a LOTR fanatic, he let me know this last night when I asked about the lack of Uruk Hai too).

He said the various Orcs all pretty much hate each other, and that this wasn't explained well to cover the Sauron's tower incident with them kililng each other.

The scene at Fangorn right before Merry and Pippen go in and meet Treebeard in TTT is also a scene with Uruks and regular Sauron Orcs too...it was supposed to show how the two (Sauron and Sauruman) were in league with each other...

I don't know if this has been posted before or not, but who wants to go through 27 pages to check? Anyway, updated Trilogy assortments:

Fellowship Trilogy Wave 1
3 x Twilight Ringwaith
1 x Galadriel
4 x Strider
no Boromir
3 x Frodo
1 x Prologue Elven Warrior

Fellowship Trilogy Wave 2
3 x Legolas
2 x Gimli
2 x Gangalf the Grey
2 x Ringwraith
1 x Arwen
1 x Elrond
1 x Travelling Bilbo

TTT Trilogy Wave 1
3 x Helm's Deep Aragorn
1 x King Theoden in Armor
3 x Smeagol
1 x Eowyn
2 x Eomer
1 x Crossbow Uruk-Hai
1 x Saruman

TTT Trilogy Wave 2
3 x Helm's Deep Legolas
3 x Gollum
1 x Gangalf the White
2 x Frodo with Sting
1 x Berserker Uruk-Hai
2 x 8" Treebeard

Typically, I'm down on one-per-case figures, but as long as half the case isn't a godamn Gollum, it's good with me. Alas, Boromir is lost, again, to us Americans. And I was really looking forward to that nice new version the Austrailans got.

Yeah, I actually thought the Orcs at Fangorn were more of Sauraman's till my brother said they were actually from Sauron, and it was to show the clash between the different breeds again.  Little details lost within the films.

BTW, look at those case assortments...

1 uruk Hai crossbowman?  What the hell's that all about?  Yet they're repacking King Theoden and Gollum?

These are the reasons I cannot get into this line much...  I'd buy 10 Uruk Hai Crossbowmen if they were made readily available I think, but I can still go to Target and get Theoden readily as it is on TTT boxes.  Sad, sad, sad...  Dare I say ToyBiz is superior to Hasbro in driving a toy franchise straight into the ground?

Yeah, TB is the king of running once-great toylines into the ground.

However, Mattel still reigns as king of killing toylines.

I have no idea why Treebeard needs a rerelease, or a Gollum for that matter. The Theoden being repacked is the armored one, which didn't really warm too many pegs as its predecessor.

Are you 'Mericans seeing the two and three packs in ROTK packaging?  Saw a couple that were interesting.  Frodo, Sam and Gollum with a ring.  Saruman and Sauron.  The latter was very tempting.
