Part 2 of Jesse's Interview

Not much new, they explain about the Balrog and say that most of 2005 is planned (as well as hopes for '06!)

Pretty cool.  Nice to know next year sounds as well rounded as this one.  Wonder what the box sets will be next year... let the speculation begin!    ;D

I always thought the council of Elrond would make a great boxed set but since we are getting Elrond this year in his robes, I think that's all I'll ever get.

Thanks so much for the link Scott!!!  I haven't checked the site at all the last few days and usually think about it when I'm in the store or the car :-\.

Speaking of the store....where on earth do you find MiniMates??  I've looked all over Walmart's toy section and found none of any kind.  Is this something I need to go to TRU to find??  Hopefully I will just be able to order the LOTR ones on-line but if not, I have to find out which stores stock them.

When I went out to get the ROTK DVD today I stopped in TRU and found myself the Morgul Lord, Merry in Armor, Faramir in Armor, and King of the Dead, as well as teh Uruk Beserker vs. Elf Archer pack.

Didn't expect to find those, the Morgul Lord is the best one...his Mace is the best accessory ever...

Sadly none of our stores thought it necessary to increase stock in the toys.  I was hoping to find the Ringwraith with horse again, but no joy.  Quite tragic.

Beth, it may not be much help because I'm up north (eh) but our minimates are right smack in the action figure aisle here.  I've not seen these at our TRU's, only at Walmarts.   I know Suncoast and some other mall type stores down there carry them.  If you end up missing out on Sauron, I've got you covered.

The bit in Jesse Falcon's article about the Balrog is pretty cool.  I might have to explore what NECA's got coming.

Got my Sauron...awesome figure.  Looks great with my Kubricks actually but rediculous when you compare him to the Marvel 'Mates.

Oh well, its still awesome

Damn...I knew it would happen, but we finally got around to watching our ROTK DVD last night (working on our house and moving this past weekend), and after seeing it again, it really makes me want to pick up some more figures.  My wife is standing strong that Star Wars (and a few Marvel figs) are enough, but I still kind of want to pick up versions of Aragorn, Gandalf, the four hobbits, Gimli, and maybe a couple of others.  So darn tempting, because the movies are just so darn good :).  Now to try to figure out which version of each character would be the best to pick up (or wait for).
