Diddly's Customs - Updated 6/17/06
« on: August 20, 2005, 10:25 PM »
Okay, I've had a few Lego customs laying around, so I thought I'd share them! I have yet to customize any Hasbro figs (unless cutting off the leg connector of R5-D4 counts :P), but I'm gaining an interest every day. So perhaps I'll be posting some Hasbro customs someday. :)

Here are a few Lego customs I've done. Since taking pics of individual figures up close is so hard, I had to leave the pics kind of big, so I'll leave links to them.

First up, as seen in TSR: A Deadly Inauguration - Mon Mothma!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v283/DiddlySquat/monmothma.jpg

Next, we have the first of several sneak peeks of upcoming items in The Sith Revelations. Here is Rodian Jedi Master Ernid Ottet.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v283/DiddlySquat/rodianjedi.jpg

And the third and final figure for the update, and another sneak peek of future events in TSR, straight out of the Jedi Knight series, Kyle Katarn!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v283/DiddlySquat/kylekatarn.jpg

And now, we have the ship "shown" in TSR: Voyage to Trideeno, the Trideeno Starfighter.

And finally, a sneak peek at the next part of TSR, a shot of the WIP entrance chamber of Robilus Dralco's mansion.

And here's a close up of the design on the floor:

Hope you guys enjoy! :)

Heh heh... you really make LEGOs a lot more fun than I ever thought possible.  The ship is cool, as is the Mon Mothma.  The floor design looks great too, and I'm sure it will add a cool effect to one of your excellent photonovels.

And the Kyle Kataran is outstanding!  I love it!  Can't wait to see him in action.   :)

I'm always intrigued by Lego cutsoms, and these are no exceptions.  I really like that Mon Mothma and Kyle Katarn--they really look like the characters.  The Rodian Jedi is also very creative.  Because I don't collect Legos, I hadn't seen that head, and I must say it's great by itself and looks really sharp on your custom figure.  Finally, I must ask two things.  Is that ship based on this mini-rig.  And, is TSR a photonovel?  If so, where do I find it?

I'm digging that custom Mickey Mouse Cup. Is that a repainted Vintage, or is it a full custom? What did you use to make the cup? Vacuform, or an existing mold? :-*

CHEWIE: Thanks! I wanted to make some good figures based off big New Republic people, and I think they came out great as well. I'm hoping that Katarn won't disappoint!

JediKnight760071: Thanks!

Professor: Thanks! I really like how well Kyle and Mon came out. The Rodian head is Greedo's, which you can find in the Mos Eisley Cantina set.

The starfighter is just something I built one night, wanting Trideeno to have a starfighter of its own for defense purposes. I had never seen that mini-rig until now. Very neat! I'm just going to say its a wierd coincidence.

And yes, The Sith Revelations is a photonovel, which can be found in the Photonovels section at the top of the Customs section. Here are the links just in case:

TSR Pt. 1 - Assault on Briff
TSR Pt. 2 - A Deadly Inauguration
TSR Pt. 3 - Voyage to Trideeno

Dressel Jr.: Ha! It used to hold popcorn, now it holds my 3-3/4' weapons and accessories. :)

Thanks for replying!

wow, nice job on these lego customs - they look like they're right out of the package!  I can't wait to see what you have in mind in terms of 3 3/4" customs  ;)

Great work on the mini-fig customs! Katarn is my favorite. Thanks for the shot of the ship, it looks great. Now where are those Battlefront II screenshots? :-* ;)

Thanks for the replies! The screenshots are coming soon, SLC. If you want them sooner, you could blackmail my teachers. ;)

Here is today's update. Please excuse the semi-crappiness of the pics. I really need to learn to take pictures when it's daylight out. :P

First, we have a villian from TSR, Commander Tiller Quaas:

Followed by another TSR villian, Admiral Andross Margalit:

Next up is Obi-Wan Kenobi in Clone Armor:

And straight out of Shadows of the Empire, Dash Rendar!

Next, we have a man with an Astromech body. He has no name, and was injured in a battle during the Clone Wars. Scientists were able to hook his brain cords with Astromech cords, allowing him to live AND allowing him eternal life, or until someone destroys the body or breaks the glass tube over his head.

And last but not least, Jedi Master Arcan Nevik. Beware his special lightsaber attack, the Arcan Saw!

Enjoy!

Those all look very cool, and like official LEGO figures... and that R2 one with the human head is freaky.  Downright scary in a way!

the R2 with the human head reminds of a B'Omarr Monk, very nicely done.

Man, these are so cool!
Do you paint the details on the body?  How do you make these???  ;)
I love that astromech with the human head, nice job  ;D

CHEWIE: Thanks! I also made a blaster that can attach to the top of the Astroman's dome, but it makes him look like some sort of faucet. :P

darth_ripley: Thanks a lot! I'm definately going to keep making more customs, and I'm slowly trying to move myself into 3-3/4 inch territory. ;)

Dressel Jr.: Umm, no. :P

Gregorbian: Thanks! No, I don't paint the bodies/details. So far all of my customs have been made out of official Lego pieces. Example: Dash is made with a Jango Fett body, an AOTC Obi-Wan head, AOTC Anakin hair, and chest armor from a Shogun. Just some simple limb swapping. :)

Thanks again to everyone for viewing!

No new fig customs, but instead I give you the first completed shot for the next part of The Sith Revelations - Meeting Robilus Dralco.
