Michael Sheard Dies
« on: August 31, 2005, 10:42 AM »
Actor Michael Sheard, best known to us Star Wars fans as Admirial Ozzel in ESB, has just passed. He was also known for many other roles such as Adolf Hitler in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He was 65.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Sheard at a Con in South Carolina about 2 years ago. He was a great storyteller, to boot, babbing about on set goings-on, and..getting drunk, lol.

Godspeed, Admiral.

Yes, that does suck.  I remember getting his autograph at a convention in Omaha several years ago.  Of course seeing him at the Celebrations as well.  I did not realize he was only 65 though.  At least an action figure of Admiral Ozzel was done before he died so he could enjoy that.  He was fun to talk with the couple times I did.

Here's hoping that his loved ones are comforted to the memories of his life! Rest in peace Admiral!

Its sad to hear this news. I never got to meet him but I never heard anything negative about him from the people who did. I know he is in a better place. RIP Admiral.
I remember my dream now.
