Thanks Hemble & Lestat.

Incase you remeber my re-carding project....
Here is a small update.

Here are the last of the 12-backs.

I wasnt sure if i was going to do variations or not, but when it came to the jawa, i had to do the vinyl cape version.

Here they are with figures mounted on the cardback

As for the wall, I now have 13. I'm 3 weeks ahead of schedule as of today.

Here are the 12-Backs

On to the 20-backs!

Very professional looking work as always Glassman.  I'm always very impressed with not only your regular customs but your ability to make those cardbacks.

Really?  Well you're outstanding with both.  And I haven't forgotten out discussion about some head casts and a carded figure, just very low on money right now with some unexpected expenses.   :-\

Those cards look great. Where do you buy your bubbles? Is that vinyl cape jawa real or is the cape a reproduction?

Its nice to see the wall filling up.  I still want the air hockey table, will you a take a Scorch for it? ;)

When you print your cardbacks, do you use a special printer or paper?  I'm just curious about the "archival" quality of the cardbacks and the issues with them fading with time.  When I print pictures on my photoprinter, the fade like nobody's business under florescent lights.

Yep Chewie, carding is my favorite part. As for your stuff, i'm not going anywhere, ( that i know of) so whenever you are ready.

Phruby, The bubbles came from toyrestore dot com, The tuskin raider one came from TJtoys dot com.
The jawa 's cape, I made from a ripped up kenobi cape. The arm holes were tore beyond repair.
So i used the bottom for the jawa.

BrentS you can have the table when i stop liking star wars...Deal?  But dont hold your breath cause i really like star wars. I collect star wars memorablia and i also make custom action figures from the star wars universe. I also like reading books based on star wars, i repeatedly watch the 6 star wars movies as well as cartoons based on the characters. I buy almost every Star wars video game.... I could go on... ;D

The cards are printed on photo paper, i havent had one fade yet... thats actually a new one to me.  I use epson paper and inks.

I'm gonna hold you to that :)  But I'm not holding my breath.

I use an Epson Photopaper and printer too (for my snapshots).  Anyway, its something to keep in mind but even if they did fade some, you could always replace them - thats the beauty of recarding your vintage stuff.

Even the first cards i made, back in 2001 or 2002 cant remember, have stood the test of time.
I always had them in a room that received direct sunlight and florecent lighting. And no fading yet.
They even survived a moving a little over a year ago. Only one bubble came off and that was during unpacking. My Han Solo imperial offiecer.

I've used kodak and epson paper, Epson inks and Epson 1280 inkjet Printer for all my cards.
I am really close to making a plunge to a laser printer, but we are getting a new one here at
work, so i may hold off on buying, if i can print a few cards here and there.  ;)

Re: Glassman's Customs - Mandalore Helmets
« Reply #146 on: March 20, 2006, 11:29 PM »
Well i said i would do it... so here it is.

I started off with the Removable jango helmet. While cool its removable, it only fits the small jango head.

I split it down the seam as seen here.

Then I used wax to create a bridge to connect the two halfs, making the helmet bigger.

Then I made a mold and cast a couple. Here is a Decent fitting Removable Mandalore helmet.

Great Job, As Always.

I think the Helmet Looks Much Better w/ the Wider profile. Any Chance You'll be Making Caste Available?

Keep up the Great Work.

I second that question. I'd like a TON of those casts!
