Looks great!  You did a nice job scraping off the chin strap areas.  Glad the paints seemed to work out okay.

Yeah, the Fair Shadow was a spot on match to the face color.  I needed to do a few coats though before I was satisfied with the coverage.  Also, it wasn't until I put the clear dull coat on that I was really satisfied with how it came out.  Thanks again for letting me use more of your supplies...  Looks like if I keep this up I'm going to have to get my own.

Very nice job, keep the customs coming.  :)

Well, since you mention it, I'm already working on my next one... Ceremony Han from A New Hope.

Well, since you mention it, I'm already working on my next one... Ceremony Han from A New Hope.

I wanted to get this one finished earlier, but I've been spending more time downloading CD's than I have been customizing.  I took a break from downloading tonight to work on this one though.  I always thought that the TRU set Luke looked lonely without his buddy Han to keep him company.  I was originally planning on just giving my wife a Series 2 Han since he's her favorite character.  However, she said that she wanted me to customize it instead.  So, since I had an extra TRU set Luke torso laying around, I decided to whip this one up.

I'm not sure if I'm done with it or not at the moment.  I need to sleep on it I guess.  Feedback is always welcome too... In the mean time, enjoy!

Re: Custom Hood Down Hoth Han
« Reply #141 on: January 10, 2008, 09:53 AM »
Here's another one that I've been wanting to do for a long time now, but couldn't get my mitts on an extra Hoth Han.  Now we need Medicom to step up and give us a Hoth Luke and Leia to go with him!

I cleaned up the right side of the hood in back since I took these pictures and painted that white area brown.  I need to touch-up the front left with some off-white paint, but other than that the only other thing I plan on adding to this is the VTAC Hoth Han hat/goggles accessory for him to hold onto... As always, enjoy!

Thought about what else I could do with my extra Scout Troopers and remembered the recent Hasbro Shadow Scout.  I had fun painting this one up.  Hope you guys enjoy.

I also have a teaser image from my next custom:

I'm just waiting on some paint to finish this one off...

Nice, I like the Shadow Scout.  I think he looks good.  Now you just need to get Bike for cheap (oh yea, that doesnt' exist  :-\).

Good tease.

Custom Carbonite Thaw Han
« Reply #148 on: February 13, 2008, 10:07 PM »
I really wanted to do this ever since I picked up an extra Carbonite Han, however I couldn't figure out how to make it look like there was a layer of thawing carbonite over Han.  Then BrentS suggested I cover the figure in greenstuff and then paint over it.  It was a great suggestion and here's how I got to the final product:

And here's the transition from frozen to thawed out:
