Howdy everyone. I haven't been around much in the last couple of weeks so someone pass me a glass. I will sip on the drink while I catch up on the posts here.

Did you get cans or bottles?  I think I do like the cans better

Picked up the cans. I really do prefer them over bottles.

Agreed, cans rule. BUT, I'd take a Murphy's over a Guinness anyday (please nobody hurt me for saying that).  :-*

Murphy's is definitely a little less bitter than Guiness.  I can understand why one would like it.  But I've gotten so used to Guiness that I don't find it bitter at all anymore.

I don't mind the pub draft in a can.  But I'd really rather have draft from a tap.  Call me a purist.  And there's just an art to pouring a pint, and leacing that little shamrock in the foam.

Another of my favorites (along with Beedo :'() is the good ole Woodchuck Cider which now makes Pear and Raspberry flavors.

I'll never forget my last week of College when I discovered the fruity goodness of the Granny Smith variety...Barkeep, send me down a nice one  :P

Carrie, I haven't tried the Spring Ale I don't think.  I love the Sam's Cherry Wheat though, a great beer.

Ug.  Coolers.  Not good.  Not bad in the general sense, but...

Shortly after I returned from Australia, I went out with a bunch of buddies to a local watering hole.  They had a contest running in which you got a coaster for each drink you consumed.  At the end of the night, they auctioned off a $50 gift certificate.  Well, the auction started reasonably with tables bidding 1, 2, 4, 8 and so on.  Our first and final bid (there were six of us) was 74!  It came out sounding more like thefty whore, but they counted them up anyway.

Problem was, you were supposed to take the GC, go home and come back another time.  Being marginally loaded ::) and freshly back from Aus, my buddies cooked up a story about me being from there and this was my last night in Canada.  They relented and let us use the GC.  What did we order?  Triple Gin and wildberry coolers.  we used the wildberry coolers as mix for the gin.   :-\

Me no like coolers.

Most wine coolers give me heart burn. I usually stay away from them, But I will take a good hard cider when I can. I used to buy woodpecker until they stopped selling it around here, now its woodchuck when I am in the mood for one. There is always homemade cider as well.

I will have to give the Murphys a try. As for bitter with Guinness, I guess I don't really notice it anymore. I will also take a good ale anyday. Like Scott said (I beleive he said it) Summer time is great for micro brews to crank out some special blends. Good beer cigar and a fire in the back yard. Summer will be enjoyable
