I'm disappointed in the figures, but at least this is a case where we were prepared for the letdown, since Hasbro confirmed these and gave a general description of what we'd be getting back at Comic Con. We all knew about them and that they’d be rehashes (well, everyone that stayed until the end of the, ahem, Q&A).

I actually really like the idea of them being transitional cards. They’re far better left on the package for me in this case. And I don’t mind actually having an extra Pilot Obi around – he can pilot his starfighter full time or maybe get a nice Mustafar soot wash.

I have a feeling we'll see the infant sculpts again. I'm sure a Beru or Young Owen is a done deal for an eventual release somewhere down the road. It’s a crime that neither of them have been done properly, now especially considering they are both in the final shot of the prequel trilogy. A Beru with infant Luke makes perfect sense.

Since they're on Saga 2 cards, do you think they'll have holo figures? I doubt it, but it would be a nice suprise.

No hood for Obi Wan?  Problem solved:

Looks better not squashed in a scanner.  That's the POTJ Obi Wan choco-shell BTW.  I knew there was a use for it yet!  I was telling Ben about this idea tonight, but couldn't find it anywhere.  Went digging through my boxes and found it finally.  Just insert baby.

ActionHQ has the twin sets in stock as of today. I'm wondering if these will actually hit in time for the DVD launch.

That would be sweet.  I'd hate having to go back looking for them time and again.

I hope these are met with the same enthusiasm as the new Lava figures. In other words, I hope they're not hard to find.

I guess it depends on cost. If they're 4.98, I can see them moving quickly because of the Luke/Leia thing and a new cardback. Lame figure repacks aside, the presentation is pretty slick.

And for the record, up here the Lava figures sell out quickly. We're probably not getting as much inventory as SoCal.

Action HQ has some close-ups of the little twins:

Luke:

Leia:

Not too bad.  In fact, upon further review, I might break down and grab these because they will most likely be our only change at baby Luke and Baby Leia.   :-\

Agreed, not bad at all. The only flaw I have really is the hair, there's too much of it for kids that young.

I figured the twins would be the same sculpt.  Nice touch there.  I'm definitely getting two sets of these.

Not necessarily.  My daughter was born with a full head of hair!   :)

I'm in on them... though I do think that both babies should have had their eyes closed.
