Anyone else pick up The Punisher DVD? I did, and I have watched it 5 times since I got it. I think I'm too fond of revenge movies.

Kevin

And to think, they cut out two entire sub-plots from the movie.  :'(

IGN has posted hi-res images now of the Fantastic Four, and you can check them out HERE  Same pics as the other day (on USA Today), but much, much clearer.

Although maybe not technically a "super hero", SuperHeroHype.com has news of John Woo being signed on to direct and produce a He-Man movie.  Hopefully it turns out better than the 1987 version with Dolph Lundgren :).

Not a real big surprise, but from this report at SuperHeroHype.com, it sounds like Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is getting his own movie, likely after X3.

According to this report over at SuperHeroHype.com, Sam Raimi sounds as if Spider-Man 3 will be the last of the movies.  I'm sure nothing is set in stone, but from the way this mini-interview sounds over there, it will be a trilogy and that's that.  It will be interesting to see if that holds up or not.  I guess if it is true, I'll move from one of my two favorite heroes to the other, since the Batman franchise will just be starting out, and hopefully be as well done and successful as Spidey has been.  Anyways, thought it was interesting news.  Here's a small snippet:

"I'd love to make more; I think that Sony just…I think that Amy Pascal who is really my boss, chairman of Sony. I've never asked her, but I get the feeling she just wants this one to be the final one. She's very emotionally attached to them and wants us to have a sense of completion to it, for the audience. And feels that's what the audience wants and they don't want to see a Spider-Man 4. That they would probably would like to see a Spider-Man 3, but probably not really anymore. So she wants to make it complete and final without setting up new things at the end, like the end of the second one."

There's more at the link above.

Superman has been cast, read it here:

I can live with this- better than other choices they had in mind.

just to add:
"Kryptonian production design element will be almost identical to the first film - so expect Krypton and the Fortress of Solitude to be very much the slanted ice crystal motif we've all been used to."

That's cool as well.

Sweet.

 I found this somewhere:

BTW, it's  Superman's onscreen players: George Reeves, Kirk Alyn, and Christopher Reeve.

Kirk Alyn, he's kind of like the Roger Lazenby of Superman series.

Saw the news about the Superman casting this weekend as well.  I'm glad that they've finally found their guy.  Hopefully there will be some sort of "official" announcement soon.  I have personally never really heard of the guy (outside of Supes casting rumors), but I'm happy they went with an unknown.  I really didn't like it when you were hearing rumors of Nicolas Cage as Clark/Supes.  Part of me was kind of pulling for Tom Welling, because I think he does a nice job on Smallville, but I can see why they might not have wanted to go that way as well.  Anyways, hopefully this movie will turn out great.  I have high hopes for both this and Batman, and hopefully these franchises can return strongly.

Sounds like the Brandon Routh as Superman casting is pretty much confirmed now.  Also, SuperHeroHype.com is reporting that it is rumored that Kevin Spacey might be up for the role of Lex Luthor.

Warner Bros. has officially made it official....officially.  Anyways, Brandon Routh is definitely Clark Kent/Superman in the upcoming movie.

Also, SuperHeroHype has a short blurb on why not to expect an Avengers movie anytime soon, mostly due to character movie rights.
