That same article makes mention of an assistant by the name of Natasha.  A potential tie-in for the Black Widow, perhaps?

Possible, but that seems unlikely given how close Marvel has stayed to other comic figure origins.

Mickey Rourke as the Crimson Dynamo
Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer

Smells of BS to me.  Wishful fanboy thinking.  Like Depp as the Riddler.  And I don't think Rourke would pass as Russian, and he's too old for the role.

Natasha was his assistant in the Ultimates, and they've borrowed from the Ultimate Universe quite a bit, including Sam Jackson as Nick Fury.

The story actually made for news on IMDB.  Superherohype might have posted it, but that's because it made the Hollywood press first.

Mickey Rourke has some buzz going for him right now.  A lot of critics are saying that his role in "The Wrestler" could be the first part of a major comeback.  This casting news gives the next Iron Man project some increased buzz.

Yeah, but he just signed on for "The Expendables."  With both films entering production around the same time, I don't know that he could do both.

It looks like Green Lantern and Jonah Hex, as well as some other WB properties, have gotten release dates.  GL is scheduled for Dec 17th, 2010 and Jonah Hex for August 6th, 2010.  Here's the run down of the next couple of years of "superhero/fantasy/blockbuster" movies from Marvel and WB (DC), as laid out by Newsarama:

Iron Man 2: May 7th, 2010
Twilight: Eclipse: June 30th, 2010
Thor, Inception: July 16th, 2010
Jonah Hex: August 6th, 2010
Green Lantern: December 17th, 2010
The First Avenger: Captain America: May 6th, 2011
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 and The Avengers: July 15th, 2011

It looks like someone is going to have to blink on those July 15th, 2011 and perhaps July 16th 2010 dates.  I just don't see Avengers and Harry Potter opening on the same day.  Nice to see another DC superhero get a release date, for awhile it sounded like it would be only Batman for a bit.  It could be a heck of a couple years of movies, if they are done well.

Sam Jackson has signed a nine picture deal to play Nick Fury in future Marvel movies.  It looks like Marvel has pretty ambitious future plans for the various Avengers/SHIELD franchises, if they locked him up for that many pictures - or at least have the option there.

Now see, this is how you plan ahead to make some movies.  Great news for Jackson and the fans that want to see him as Fury.

Newsarama has posted that rumors are going around that Fox is looking to reboot both the Fantastic Four and Daredevil movie franchises with "darker" takes and all new casts/etc.

Like the idea of more FF, but I like the existing cast just fine.   :-\

I wouldn't mind seeing both franchises get a reboot.  That being said, I didn't hate the original movies from either quite as much as others did.  Fantastic Four could use a little bit different take though, and I could see recasting (I did like Chris Evans as Torch, and Chiklis as Thing just fine though).  I didn't mind Daredevil, but reading the comics over the past couple years I could see a better take there maybe as well.
