I thought Iron Man 2 was great, probably better than the first.  It's the first superhero movie that's crammed in so many new characters and not gotten completely derailed.

I really didn't get into Iron Man 2, mainly because there was nothing heroic about it.  Iron Man did nothing but save himself and his friends.  Most superhero stuff eventually gets this way, and that's why I never got into it.  The stories get too insular.  For instance, in The Dark Knight, he's trying to save all of those people on the boats at the end...that's heroic.  That was a great superhero story.  But Iron Man was just fighting  off robots that were attacking him...and then he gets a medal?  Huh?

When Lex Luthor wants to detroy California, and superman has to stop him, that's interesting.  But when Luther gets bent on destroying Superman, that gets kind of lame.  It takes any real danger out of the story.

SPOILER

I saw the HAMMER drones repeatedly firing on human beings and then even the downed ones at the end were rigged to blow up, and kill more people.

I saw Iron Man 2 today.  I enjoyed it absolutely as much as I did the first.  Other than taking even more liberties with science (I mean, yeah sure... they're creating new super-heavy elements all the time... but they all end up existing for like a millionth of a nanosecond and you don't exactly make them by manually aiming a laser from a particle accelerator at a metal triangle...) there's not a think I can complain about.  Robert Downey Jr. was perfect again.  And I enjoyed the hell out of Scarlett Johansson.

I'm really looking forward to watching the drone battle at home.  The audio there was amazing.

Saw Iron Man 2 this afternoon.  I enjoyed it quite a bit - not as much as the original but still a solid entry.  Robert Downy Jr is perfect for the roll and I think his dialogue was written very well (like the last one).  Of course the action scenes were top notch.

Wait....you can't have that villain without the FF.  And the human torch is now playing Captain America.  And Captain American is an Avenger.  But  you can't have that villain without the FF....aaaand my brain just broke.

There's the whole potential for a Captain Marvel tie-in to this particular plotline.  He was one of the Avengers, too.  It seems like it might a little too ambitious from the outset.

Going in an  interstellar direction didn't really work for the FF sequel.  Especially since their concept for Galactus was just bizarre.

Based on what we saw in Iron Man 2, they could have set up an Ultron storyline.  The armored drones could have totally gone in that direction.  But the drones were a lot easier to bust up than Ultron should be.  Oh well.

Slightly off-topic, but this has got to be one of the best movie figure I've ever seen...

I'll take a new Fantastic Four.

The old cast is just outright hokey.  Iron Man and Iron Man 2 has set a new standard for Marvel movies in the same way that the last 2 Batman movies raised the bar bigtime for DC films.

Why do I get the feeling Bill should be supervised with that action figure.
