2010 Clone Wars Anakin's Starfighter

We received an image of the repacked Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Fighter from the 2010 Mid-Size Vehicle line. For the variant hounds, they can scratch this one off as it doesn't appear to have any deco variation from the previous release. For others, this relatively tough-to-find fighter getting repacked is a blessing.

UPDATE: AT-AT Comparison Image

UPDATE: The scale comparison shot of the old and new AT-AT's came from ToplessRobot.com, which was a bit of a mystery till now. An excellent early picture of their sample for sure.

    Tale of Two Leia Decoes

This past week two distinct paintjobs on the Vintage Collection Hoth Leia surfaced, and raised the question whether this is just a factory flub or if both versions (one clean, one very grimey/dirty) will be out at retail. Our carded sample suggests we're getting the cleaner figure for sure, so this one's still a slight mystery for variation fanatics.

    New Hoth Leia Image

With the images of Dengar, Dak, and the AT-AT Commander, it was inevitable that the new Hoth Leia would turn up as well. She's a noticeably more dirty deco than prototypes first showed though, but this is likely how the final production figure is going to appear.

    Hasbro Celebration V Promotion

A sticker promoting Hasbro's Celebration V Contest is appearing on Star Wars product, but beware! While the sticker says specially marked product will have a chance to win inside, people are reporting this sticker is turning up on items that have been out a year or longer. It's not known if/how your chance at winning could be inside something that old, and that this should apply to some newly stocked toys before July. Thanks to smashwitdaclub for supplying the scan of the sticker he found.

OK, so I was mistaken and Toys R Us is running $4.99 figures till July. Well Wal-Mart can't be left out then right? I see Jayson at Yakface noticed this as well, and basic figures at Wal-Mart stores have dropped to an impressively low $4.50. It's like 1995 all over again!

UPDATE: Toys R Us Sale Winding Down

The Expanded Universe wave sightings have been rampant, and even on sale, but those sales end soon. The wave keeps reappearing at stores which were cleared out just the day before though, so don't give up hope for finding a deal. They just showed locally for me even!

UPDATE: Due to some misinformation on my part, the sales do NOT end as soon as I thought they did. Apologies for the confusion, however it's still probably a good idea to buy sooner rather than later. The end date for the $4.99 sale is said to be 7/3/10 so again, my apologies.
