Sadly, I still don't have a camera, but I do have 6 customs I'm just dying to show you guys. Thanks for your feedback guys.

Well, I promised I'd be back, so, here you go!  :) And, CHEWIE, before you ask, or anyone else for that matter, a PN is in the works- just gotta make scenery out of fomecor and shoot.

About two years into the Clone Wars, the Jedi proposed an anti-smuggler campaign to the Senate. It was meant to drive away the public's attention from the Outer Rim Seiges and bolster Republic support of the Senate. For once, though, the Jedi pulled the hood over the proverbial eyes of the Chancellor. Their ulterior motive was to search the Outer and Inner Colonies for Sora Bulq, the Jedi-turned-Sith, who was rumored to be hiding out in the industrial settlements on Rhen Var. The Jedi asked for a modest amount of soldiers- 4 highly trained Republic Clones that were eager to serve the Jedi on any mission, no questions asked. They also chose Master Clugral Tamble to lead the expedition. But first, to give a reason to traveling to Rhen Var, the Jedi said they were targeting to bring down the Araluu crime family, consisting of 3 brothers. They were notorius for acquiring the latest prototype weapons and gadgets and some fell into their hands even before the Republic did.

Here we have Master Clugral Tamble, outfitted into clone armor.

Welcome Back D_N:
Your new camera is a HUGE asset.  You can really see the details that you put into these customs now.  One comment that is probably obvious, you should rotate the portrait shots so we don't have to turn our heads :)

My favorite is the Sora Bulq.  Very nice update.

What is the base on that vehicle?  It looks really cool.

Wow, this is a huge udpate.  Been looking forward to it.

Master Clugral Tamble - Pretty cool, a Nemoidian Jedi?  Nice to see and the tunic looks pretty good.

Commander Revik - Nice idea, but the face to me just seems a bit weird... unless it's supposed to be face paint?

VSTC Bikers Scouts - Just supposed to be more battle worn?  They look like they've been through quite a bit of action.

Araluu Crime Family - Pretty cool looking group of thugs here, especially Valentin.

Sora Bulq - Easily one of your best customs I think, he looks very natural.  Great work here.

Speeder - Pretty cool, what is the base?  Looks like it might be from a Halo item?

Re: D_N's Customs- Updated 5/8- Star Wars ARC-170
« Reply #292 on: May 8, 2006, 05:56 PM »
Thanks for your comments, guys. The base for the speeder is the Banshee mini-vehicle from the HALO line given a base coat of silver and painted up.

CHEWIE, The clones do have face paint...I think Lt. Dinoa's is sharper...I think I'll redo Cmd. Revik at a later time and date.

I finished this about 10 mins. ago, it took me about 2 weeks, working off and on.

STAR WARS ARC-170 repainted in SNOW CAMO

The figures look nice in it...

That was my ARC-170 from a while back spraypainted silver, then added gray panels and highlights, then drybrushed in white, gray, and black.

Well, I hope you like it. LMK what you think, all comments are appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Once again, your painting skills DAZZLE the senses!!  Well done, DN.  GREAT ARC and I love the new customs.

Especially the one made from VTSC Han (can't remember the character name, sorry!)

And the face paint on the clones is really cool, too!

Another very fine batch of work!

You did a very good job on the painting. It looks like a professional.

Your camera is working very good and it really captures the picture and the models.

Nice work :)

Those are really excellent customs D_N. How did you make that battle damage on the nose of the ARC?

Well, I went outside with one of those hand-held lighters (not the cigarette-type lighter, but the long handled one), then burned a hole into the nose. It's hollow so it burns pretty easily. Then, I took some clay that hardens in the air and filled the hole, but making it uneven. Then, while it was still pliable, I pushed some heavy electrical wire into the hole, and let it dry. Then just painted it.
