Thanks guys.  I will post some better pictures when it arrives.  Unfortunately the seller had not disabled Ebay's new standard Global Shipping Program, so I I have to wait for her to send the package to a local distribution center, then I'm sure I'll be waiting 4-6 weeks for it to arrive on a canoe despite having to pay another $30 in shipping.  Someone should sue Ebay for fraud with that program.

Congrats on that Droid Factory, that's pretty cool.

I recently added a 4th boxed Vader's TIE Fighter to my focus.  They're all open, but I love how they display together.

I've also been slowly building my loose 12" figure collection, I grabbed a Stormtrooper, C-3PO, and Han -- all complete.  Getting closer to completing the set!

I love how that TIE collection looks all lined up together.  Great additions!

I picked up a MPC sealed ESB Slave 1 plastic model. I got it for $20 shipped. I love the graphics on the old models especially this one with the Cloud City background in yellow.

This just may be one of the greatest pieces I have -- the classic Vader carry case signed by James Earl Jones.  I won it in a raffle to support a member on another forum.  I couldn't be happier to add this to my Vader collection.

That sweet. Does it come with the certificate of authenticity?

Took some time to break out the European Droid Factory this weekend.  I love this thing.  Its like an alternate reality version of the Droid Factory we got in the U.S.  The pieces are pretty comparable, but the base and stickers for it are entirely different.  The other big differences are the placement of the parts, the blueprints, and the swapping of the central crane for a droid loading feature.  Sadly, that last piece is the only thing missing from this set.  There is supposed to be a little bolt with a string at the top of the ramp.  The other end of the rope connects to the droids you make, so with your friend gravity, you can make the droids slowly climb or descend the ram as you turn the bolt.  In looking at the directions, I think this bolt is actually the same piece that holds the two crane arms together, so I may take apart a spare at some point to recreate the effect.

Here are some additional pictures.  I put the RD units side by side to show the coloring differences in stickers and parts (Europe on the left).  The UK sticker is obviously faded, but seems like a matte finish versus the more glossy US version.  The differences are much easier to see in person.  So happy to have this one in the collection.  This was the last vintage holy grail for me, which is very good because I'm completely out of space now...

It looks like the base is made from a cheaper thinner plastic than the US version. Is that true?

Quite possibly.  It is definitely a different material.  The plastic doesn't "push in" like an aluminum can might, but doesn't feel as hard as my US version.  They came with a cardboard base glued to the bottom, so I can't really tell the thickness or check from underneath.  The droid parts feel like a slightly softer plastic as well.

Iirc the original is king of a thick PVC like plastic...  That looks like more an abs.  Usually can be told by feel tho.  Like the imp attack base is more the PVC-ish plastic while Dagobah or the Death Star are abs-like, as comparisons go.

I haven't had a DF in my collection for years tho to recall how rhe US one is made.
