If I only knew!   ;)

That would have been the smart thing, but I'm happy.

and that's the most important thing - the set looks beautiful, kudos on a great score!

Darb,
An absolutely awesome set.  Like others, I cannot believe you opened the baggies, but hey, they're yours to do with as you please.

Very nice set Darb. It's absolutely pristine. I'm usually an opener but I think I would have had a hard time ripping those out of the bag. It's good to see some people can stomach that. What a great addition to your collection. :)

Thanks Ryan!

I certainly appreciate the perspective of leaving them in the bag.  Rob really opened my eyes to that side of it; I'm a loose collector and I don't ever really consider the carded/boxed equation (just so you guys know, this box was opened, as the tape had worn off).  It never really entered my mind the rarity of the baggies alone; I was just focused on filling a huge hole in my vintage collection in one shot, and replacing a favorite childhood toy.  If I had chosen to leave them in the baggies - which I did struggle with (a little) when I got them - I would have had to have found other loose examples, and I don't know I would ever find ones as good as this.  I know I wouldn't.

I'm stuck at the old folk's home this weekend (dogsitting  :P ) so I decided to get my vintage collection out so I can take it to my new house to display. While I was here, I couldn't resist setting them all up and take a couple pics. Here we go:

I've also recently decided to finish this collection off, so I needed to catalog what I had, what I didn't, what weapons I need, and what figures I need to replace. As you can see, the X-Wing Luke, AT-ST Driver, Weequay, Bossk, and Yoda need replacing, and that's just off the top of my head. Plus, that Vader is the Classic 4-pack version, so he'll probably be my first purchase on this new adventure. Anyway, thanks for the look.

Great pics.  Your Stormtroopers have aged well, they still look pretty darn white.

Thanks. They were at my LCS about 5 years ago, and were a steal at $10 each, guns included. I've been careful about storing them ever since, because I know it doesn't take much for that great condition to take a turn for the worst.

Thanks guys. And it grew today already- Darth Rock hooked me up with a super minty AT-AT Commander. Off to a good start, eh?  :)

I was pretty damn stoked to add this to my collection, and just to make it a little more unique, it's a Canadian version.

Sweet.  Love the die cast stuff (I had to be extra good to get one of those as a kid).
