YIKES!  That is super-clean for $63.

Was this on eBay?  And if so, how'd I miss it - I've been looking for one and every time I see a decent one it ends up over $90.

If the saber and sticker are original that's a really great deal.

Yeah, it was on ebay.  And he's all all original.   ;D  I've been noticing lately (to my benefit) that most POTF figs can be had for relatively cheap if you're super paitent.  The prices range quite a bit - I've seen figures like the Dignitary range from $100 to $20, even in great shape.  All of mine have come from folks who are letting go of their collections after 25 years.  Sad for them, good for me.

Next happened really fast.  Which is good and bad.  I have come across a 1984 Jabba's Dungeon with Amanaman, Barada, and EV-9D9 in super minty freshness (figs still in baggies) for an INSANELY good price and I feel I'll have to pull the trigger.

Well if the price is that good then pull that trigger, hate to see someone loose out & regret it later.

Just got another cheap EV-9D9 that's missing the opposite arm of the one I already have. Does anyone know if it's an easy swap out/in from that figure? I'm hoping to get a whole figure out of the two. Boiling required?

Those things are super fragile.  I don't know if you'd succeed boiling and removing the arm... no idea how large the inner peg is... If you want to try, I'd boil and pull out one of the broken arms.  If it comes out easily, you might have a shot.  But those things snap under almost no force.  Very risky.  Though I guess the worst you'll do is break the good arm off a one-armed figure.

Well, I officially have one with just a left arm and one with just a right arm now. At the very least, I can pry apart one of them, but the trick will be getting it to fit peacefully into the other one. Maybe if I buy it a few drinks first. The worst I'd do is waste the money on the one I just got, really, which I'd rather not do.

Anyone ever make this fix before?

I don't think it helps you very much if you're trying to make one that's actually correct, but back in the day I bought one with loose arms and I just put a little bit of stick-tack in there.  They haven't come off since and that was like 8 years ago.

Spuffy - great score on the R2, looks beautiful especially at the price. and as everyone else said, if you can afford it go for the Dungeon set, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't.

my childhood EV-9D9 lost his left arm as a kid, i eventually got a replacement arm at the Earth in 2000 but the arm peg was worn down so I rebuilt it. Just find a peg of the right size, glue it to the arm where it should be and slide it right into the hole on the torso - BAM! you've got yourself a good looking torture droid.

cheers!
