Ebayed a complete ESB Taun Taun (closed belly) w/ decent box. One flap is completely off but if you tuck the tab in its hard to tell. It also had the cardboard insert that keeps the taun taun from moving and the shape to the box.
This is the water, and this is the well. Drink full, and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes, and dark within

Cool! A Blue Stars. I made one of those as a custom once. You don't see those much anymore.

This is a $30 custom as well.  I never even see auctions for a real one and I'm sure I couldn't afford it anyway.

Finally got around to picking these guys up.  I've been looking for them at a good price for ages, but just haven't found the right deal.  I found a seller willing to part with both in minty shape with coins for $300.  Not cheap, but totally worth it!

That's a great score Jman. I got an R2 the other day at Quake in Chicago. No coin though.

Found quite a bit of vintage awesomeness at the Chicago comic con. The best thing was the die cast TIE Bomber. Got a great deal on it too. Saw a lily ledy jawa, Toltoys (Toltoys!) DS playset and a boxed 12 inch IG88. Didn't have the spread for all that but great to see. I did nab a boxed vintage sand crawler and boxed dew back, which I shipped home and will have tomorrow.

Wow, great scores Darby!  What did you shell out for each?  Took me quite a while to snag a Sandcrawler and didn't even target one with a box.  Can't wait to see your pics!

Can't wait to get home tonight to find them! I paid a hundred for R2, and $175 for the TIE. I paid $60 for the dewback and $400 for the sandcrawler. It was more than I wanted to spend, but given the scarcity of boxed examples, the condition, and the fact that the toy still works, I couldn't pass it up. BTW I found the Sandcrawler and Dewback at Ka-Pow Collectibles in Chicago, at the lake end of Belmont (near the Belmont Red Line stop). Amazing store. Probably a little overpriced, but lots and lots of gems in this store. Check it out if you have a chance.

Chicago's a bit out of my toy hunting radius, but I would definitely stop in if I ever get down that way.  Thanks for the tip!
