Must-have set, man. Vader is awesome; Ep III Anakin is about the only version worth owning; Padawan Anakin is a badass figure even if the face isn't quite right. I love this set. Vader and Anakin III are 2 of my fave figs! ;D

I've had Vader lying on his back sans helmet/hand with Saga Luke kneeling (as best as that fig can kneel) next to him for a month or two. Great scene. I just moved them today. Vader's now standing with his helmet off, holding his stump*; Luke's standing next to him reaching his arm out in a gesture to save him. It's a really great reversal of symbolism consdering how Vader reached out to Luke on Cloud City, not to save his son, but to lure him.

*Would be perfect if they had sculpted/painted the post look like his severed wires!

On an Ani Evolutions note I got one tonight at Suncoast for retail after a 20% markdown from their pricehike.

They  are I guess closing shop around Pittsburgh, at least all but one store maybe, so good for me but bad for the area since Suncoast was the only place with bust-ups in any capacity anymore.  Kind of a bummer.

I will hopefully get one today and a Han Solo AT-ST Driver.
And maybe count dooku if I feel like it, or maybe I'll just get the anni evo and a SAGA1 Jedi Starfighter.

Pretty nice, huh? Only good head sculpt they've done. How do you like the detailing on Vader's head sculpt? Impressive, huh? 8)

All 3 sets are outstanding, it's a shame this "series" is done for the time being.  Hasbro has solid gold with these if they do more and they're done to this level of quality.

Like in my latest review of the Sith Lords set, the worst figure in the set is Maul and he's only the worst because he has angle-cut elbows instead of ball/socket elbows...  You really can't complain a LOT about that, it's minor at best, and the Maul is still easily the best incarnation of that character ever released in the line.  I'm content to never get Maul again unless they repack this sculpt of the figure with a cloth robe.  :)  Hasbro has a license to print money with these if they re-release them on basic cards mixed throughout the line for some years.

Instead though, we got the lame ROTS Duel Anakin repackaged...  Oh joy.

Well the way I look at it the action features are for the kiddies and the SA's are mainly for collectors.

Man, it's killing me to look at TSC Threepio's head and the battle droid head... The pegs with sculpted wires would have been an awesome addition to Evo Vader's wrist. He would've been a perfect figure with a severed hand. :(

It's a beautiful figure. It just would've been perfect with the wires. :'(
