Looking good!  It looks very primitive - exactly how the ewoks would make it!  It looks like it would fit right perfectly in any Endor dio!
You should make some "boulders" for it to lob!
The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

Thanks guys- yes, it's an older custom I had on RS a while back.  By the way, it is actually film-accurate because I used a ROTJ pic for reference.  Here's another pic with some rocks I found in the yard:

That's so cool Daigobah.  Kinda funny in a way too.  I always thought that Ewoks were silly, but to be honest when you put them in a diorama with an awesome custom centerpiece like that, they seem much cooler.

Daigo-Bah, I remember seeing this a while back, and I must say that it looks great.  Your work with rea wood is amazing and to perfect scale.

I remember this too DB and it's really nice...  I'm impressed with the authentic look that came from using actual materials...  What problems did you incur making it?  Like does it shrink as the wood dried out over time or anything?  Did you try any way to preserve the wood for instance?

Does it shoot too?  I'm curious about that.

Very nice...  It looks great, to-scale...  Very cool.

Just did a couple more:

The Luke is a Dooku body with lots of clothing modifications, the Dengar has a repainted face, shorter neck, and shorter arm plates, and the DS Droid is spraypainted gloss black (instead of steel gray) and the goggles are chrome.

very nice work Daigo-bah, i especially like the fur you added to the Wampa - it reminds me of the puppet they used in the film. nice paint job on the Death Star Droid. i have one of those laying around that i was thinking of making into the chrome droid that was in the Sandcrawler with 3PO & R2.

i have been using Dragon bodies and heads for my 12" upgrades i have been doing. they are much slimmer and more realistic than the Hasbro/Joe bodies, and have more points of articulation. in fact, when you compare a Dragon body to the bodies that Sideshow sells, the only difference is in the arms - which i found to be pretty interesting.

keep up the good work!

I figured it would be fair to bump this thread... I am planning on making a Sail Barge sometime soon, so I am going to need to use this for reference.   ;)

Here is a Snowtrooper using the GG bust-up and the bottom half from a POTF2 Snowtrooper:

It looks great, but I think it's kind of tall... do you agree?

I'd consider maybe using the GG head and arms on a regular Snowtrooper, just to see what it looks like.

Interesting custom, I always enjoy your work a lot.

Hey guys- I bought an extra Chirpa recently with the intention of customizing another Ewok.  Basically I cut away a lot of his existing hood, repainted his body brown with a drybrush of light peach, and painted the hood blue with a dark wash and more peach drybrushing.  I also painted some of the leaves and feathers on his hood with different colors.  There's a comparison shot with Chirpa to show the differences.
