I need to add some brand of backpacks to these guys.  Probably POTF or SAGA snowie packs:

Excellent job Dressel.  They look extremely mean.  How did you make the helmets?  Are they Snowtrooper helmets, with cloth for the masks?

With all the customs people have been making of the Galactic Marine, Hasbro must know by now how bad we all want this figure...

Looks like the Bacarra head with the cloth "face mask" to me. Nice job.

Absolutely right.

The marine on the left is a bacara body, and the one on the right is a clone 41 SA body.

The remaining galactic marines that I make will be clone 41 bodies, I think it looks much better than the bacara body.

I like these Galactic Marines.  The best part, in my opinion, is the sg kama.  I like that you made the length down past the knees, it's much more accurate than using a regular Clone Commander kama (like I did).  I really need to go back and update my Galactic Marines figure...

It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

So, post-dresselian customs, I'm back into casting now.  First up is one of Gree's grunts the "BARC" trooper.  I made a mold of a 1983 Kenner scout trooper head because I hate the tiny little head they put on the 2001 POTJ scoutie body.  I used plumber's epoxy for the casting.  A couple precise cuts in the arms of a 2001 POTJ scoutie and a paint job, and here is the final result:

Very impressive, that's one of the best figures you've done!  I really like the larger head, great choice!

Any new customs on the horizon Dressel?  I'm wondering what you might come up with if you use a VSTC Biker Scout body for the Kashyyyk troops?

Here's some shots of Kashyyyk BARC clones.  Basic repaints of the VTSC scout, with comparison shots.  The official base color is Italian Sage.  I added Ivy colored camo and then varnished with a clear coat.

Next up is a WIP Felucia diorama.  It's 90% done, all I want to do is find some nice small mushrooms to litter the floor with.  Right now the floor is only littered with Aayla.

Wow, those are sweet.  I'm digging the Kashyyyk troopers and wookies. As far as Felucia goes, maybe you can come up with some sort of base as well.  With all that flora and fauna its a shame to just have a flat base.

Next is a WIP 501st assault diorama.  I'm trying to figure out the best way to make a backdrop and floor, all I've really done here is plan the layout of the attack and scraped a black line away above the helmet visor to separate the eyes from that black line above it like it's supposed to be.  The way Hasbro painted it, it looked like sunglasses.
