I've purchased tons of extra bandwidth, and it t looks like it's not a bandwith issue, but rather something wrong with www.250free.com... sorry, hopefully the site will be back up soon!

www.250free.com is really making me mad... it's been down since Friday!  Grrrrr

Anyways, MistaBinks was kind enough to host a new custom image for me.  Here is Trulos, a fan fic Nemoidian contact for Nute Gunray during the Clone Wars.

As i posted at scum, Great figure. Parts fit seamlessly and the paint techniques are always top notch.
they remind me of Scoundrel's stuff from way back. I dont know if his site is still up, but his paint jobs were the best IMO, and yours remind me alot of his.

nice, can you give a recipie? i really like the weathering on the pant legs, excellent as usual! it's cool to see some use of the nemoidian's as you do. what is this your 2nd or 3rd nemoidian custom? i wonder why there is such a difference in the nemoidian head size from nut gunray to the nemoidian warriors?

anyway great work as usual, i always enjoy seeing your customs...

Cool Nute Chewie! He reminds me of an alien from a 50's B movie - Attack of the Creature with the Sterotypical Asian Accent!

It was a pretty simple custom, just used the following parts -

head - Lott Dodd
body - Ishi Tib
robe - Captain Antilles

The dry brushing did help this custom a lot.  It looked pretty weak before that was added to it.

I had this WW2 figure from a while back, and decided he could be customized into a custom somehow.  Made this one tonight during the Cardinals unreal comeback over the Astros.

Some great new stuff, Chewie.  I really like the clones, and that you varied them up a bit. Both came out great, but I like the first one a little more...mostly because the MAce Windu figure kind of has Gorilla arms that look a little too long. Still, that's Hasbro's problem, not yours. It came out great.

The Ki Adi Mundi in the clone armor is really well done; it really blends together well, even though I woudn't have thought the arms compatible. Probably my favorite of this new bunch.

Trulos is really imaginative...but again, this is yet another custom whose magic lies entirely in the paint job. The job on the face is especially convincing...it makes this guy look totally different from Lott Dodd. I also like that the boots don't have quite as much weathering...makes them seem newer than the rest of his ensemble, or at least that he puts some importance upon their care.

The Republic Field Officer is nicely done and reminiscent of some of the designs seen in the ART OF ROTS book. I want to make one of these now.

Wow, it sure has been quite around here today...

I didn't explain much on it before, but this is supposed to be a Field Officer uniform, meaning that this is something this type of officer would be wearing in the trenches directing a group of Clone Troopers. That is why I like the trenchcoat look to him, kind of like Admiral Screed from the Droids Cartoon.

If there is anything I'd like to change on it, it would be the buttons.  But the plastic used on the chest/cloak is on is a very rubbery material, and is a lot more difficult to work with than regular plastic used on figures. I don't want to take the chance of screwing it up. And I seem to remember the Imperial Officers on Jabiim during the evacuation having some sort of similar uniforms.

Anyways though, more than anything this is supposed to be a fan-fic design, not a replica of any particular design. Just like we see in ROTS, there is a large variety of Clone Trooper designs... I never thought we see such a colorful range of designs, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to see a broad range of designs for non-Clone uniforms as well.

DD, you you have any pics of those officer designs in ROTS Art book?

Uh-oh! Looks like Chewie has taken up cloning!  ;)

I like this one a lot, Chewie. It looks really good, the pieces blend naturally under your fine weathering job.

Preparing for Battlefront II, eh?   :D
