Thanks bjardkerr.  I wouldn't say I'm that good at dry-brushing, but I do think it adds a lot to my customs since I can't sculpt at all.

Dimetrodon, are these guys really not force-sensitive?  Damnit!!!

SLC, I think you're right, yellow eyes would be really cool.  I ran out of yellow paint, and need to get some more.   :)

Ah, THERE he is.

Like I said over at RS, very cool. My only suggestion is to change the weathering on the boots so that they appear to have a different texture than his robes. And the Sithy eyes will look great!

Cool Sith CHEWIE!  :o
It would definitely look cool with yellow sith eyes, but even without that, excellent as always!

What mistake are you referring to?

Thanks for the compliments, I really appreciate it.

By the way - guys, I feel like I'm committing a sin, but I'm doing something I don't want to do... money is very tight right now, and I'm selling some of my extras on ebay.  I need money quick, and am actually going to put some of my customs that I don't want on ebay.  Please, nobody be mad at me for it.   :(

I used to be adamantly against selling customs, but mostly for the reason that I thought people should just make their own.  My customs aren't as good as lot of the ones on eBay, but at least I made them myself.
On the other hand, if $$$ is tight, and you feel people will be satisfied with the quality of your customs (which they most assuredly will  ;)), then go for it.  I was contemplating selling some of mine ($$$ is a little tight for me as well right now), but I really have a hard time parting with them!  Maybe someday I'll dump mine on eBay, but for now, I'm having too much fun with them!  ;D

Good luck selling your customs CHEWIE.  Your customs are way better than 90% of the crap customs that are on eBay (that for some reason still get loads of $$$), so I'm sure you'll make some decent $$$.  ;D

Thanks for the support Gregorbian.  I don't plan on putting many customs on ebay, just a few.  It's too hard to part with most of them.

But I have amassed a few things that I really don't want like a few Unleashed figures, and when I saw what some of them were going for on ebay, I figured - what the heck, if I could have a good month in selling stuff in June and July, them maybe my wife and I can afford to go on a vacaction this summer.

Sure man, that's a better reason than most have for selling stuff on eBay  ;)
Good luck man  8)

Hey Chewie,

Sometimes, you gotta pay the mortgage, you know? I don't think anyone here will condemn you for selling your awesome work on E-bay to make ends meet... we've all been in tight spots and if you can make a little $$$ on your talent, why not?

I've supplemented my recent unemployment with customs for sale, and as a matter of fact, my custom Gree is on sale now in Red5sixx's store to cover some cash I owed him for loose fodder. So, no judgements here.  ;)

Personally, I would be proud to be able to bid on some of your work.  ;D

What stuff is up there?

I won't post any links, but so far only one custom is up (the recent Sith figure I made).  I'm not looking to make a lot or screw anyone over, just a little something to help make ends meet (like you said).  Right now mostly I'm going through my extras of non-custom stuff that I am pretty sure will sell.

Thanks for the support, it makes me feel much better.

Nothing at all wrong with a little ebay. It's no different than a painter selling their works. It is all art.

New backgrounds, eh? They all look nice...I like the Rodian Senator and Utapau Officer best...I find that your senatorial figures appeal to me most. :)

Your very creative...make good use of it while it lasts. ;)
