No problem.  I've explained it before a few times, but I don't mind doing it again.   ;)

What I do is get several differnent colors for a dry brush.  Depending on the color of the figure parts that are to be dry brushed, I try and find an opposite color.  Like if it's a black figure, then maybe I will use a yellow or white color for the dry brush.  If it's a light colored figure, then the dry brush will need to be applied with a darker color.

Technique - On a paper plate (or whatever) put a couple of smears of paint onto it.  Use your paint brush (not a fine detailing brush, but a thicker one) and dab it in the paint some.  Then run the brush onto a surface to get rid of "most" of the paint.  You can then start stroking the brush bristles against the figure, and ever so slightly the paint will appear to start showing over the details of the figure's sculpt.  The idea is to have to "force" the brush firmly against the figure to get any paint off the bristles.  Repeat as necessary.

Dry brushing seems to work best on a figure that has already been painted.  For example, if you were to dry brush a TIE fighter pilot, I would suggest repainting him black first, then doing the dry brush.

Man those look really good! I saw the edited clone on FFURG the other day but I had to get to my hockey game so I didn't get a chance to comment on it. The updated version is much better, you really improved it with the shadows. I love the digital enhancments on the Rancor, it looks PERFECT. I like the crawl as well it is consise, and gets us up to speed without giving too much away. I am really excited for #14. :)

Speaking of RS, get New Bornelax over here. :P

Thanks for all of the feedback in the photonovel thread guys.  I really do appreciate it.   :)

I plan on hopefully getting a custom or two done this weekend, but until then here's a simple update, some head swaps to add a little variety to my AT-ST driver "army."

Nice, simple, and effective CHEWIE.  I've been meaning to do this with some of my extra AT-ST Han figures, but I never get around to it!
I can't wait to check out your photonovels!
The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

Thanks guys.  I know these aren't really spectacular or anything, I just thought I should update something other than just the photonovels this week.

Pretty cool for simple headswaps. Nice to have a variety.

BTW, I can't remember if you've answered this or not, but how do you get the AT-TE Gunner's pauldron off? Is there a snap that I'm missing?

I actually made a single cut in a strap in an inconspicous place to get it off.  You can put it back on without noticing the cut.
