Is it safe to say that Jeff is the only one keeping track anymore?  :-*

Nope.  I'm up to date in my spreadsheet, I just don't post monthly totals here.  At the end of the year, I'll post my total.

I'm tracking too, but just haven't posted any totals for awhile.  I'll have to take a look at things here to see where I'm at.

November...

$354.99  January
$240.39  February
$100.78  March
$111.68  April
$179.68  May
$112.07  June
$648.07  July
$451.33  August
  $21.96  September
$264.96  October

$147.78  November

Stuff I bought in the past month:
30th Anniversary Commemorative Tins (3 openers)
Galactic Heroes 2-Packs (4 openers)
Galactic Heroes Cinema Scene 10-Packs (4 openers)
Shipping Expenses (Padded Mailers and Tape)

Pretty well controlled spending this month; just the GH stuff and the three OT Tin sets.  Got a bit of cash back selling some of the extra/duplicate GH figures, but still another $100+ month.   Next month?  Kubricks:  Series 7, Imperial Speeder Biker Box Set, and possibly the Carded Shadow Stormtrooper.    My wallet hurts already...  :-[

This is definitely a thread that would be very VERY bad for me to get into so I'll make tracking my purchases part of my New Years Resolutions  (assuming there's gonna be an 07 challenge) ;D
What I recollect:

November:
Starship Battles- 4 cases & 1 starter   $384
Target Shuttle- $64
Pod Racer Pair- $6.75

I lost track and for a good reason too, if my wife ever saw this thread i'd be homeless...  :P

I'd probably put my year end total around $4-5K but then again i've made about $6-7k selling stuff so it balances out...

 Action Figures and 12" Sideshow dolls:  $1,001.99
 Master Replica lightsabers:     $903.95
 Books & Comics: $92.87
 Misc: $41.47

Grand total:   $2,040.28

I only have Sideshow's Bib Fortuna left to arrive in 2006 and probably some after Christmas Hallmark ornaments so a little over two grand is a far cry from the previous two years of over $5,000.00 each.

2005's Totals (for comparison)
Star Wars - $1,914.45
Other - $515.53
Grand Total - $2,429.98

2006's Totals
Star Wars - $617.99
Other - $752.10
Grand Total - $1,370.09

Not surprising as I stopped collecting the Hasbro stuff this year and sold off a good portion of my collection.  2007 will probably be near 2005's total.  I know January is going to be expensive with Sideshow's Jabba, throne and creatures expecting to hit and I still need the two expensive Kubricks to complete the collection.

You need to start collecting Gentle Giant stuff.  Really, you do.

Believe me, I thought about it.  I like the mini busts but back-tracking would take more time, effort and money than I have.

2005 = $15106.89 CDN = $12160.16 US

2006 = $7960.96 CDN = $6804.24 US

Much better.  Still ugly, but much better.

This year should be a lower total again, not necessarily because I'll buy less, but because I have a LOT of old stuff I plan to sell in the upcoming months.  If I don't have room to display it, I'm selling it.

Grand Total for 2006 = $2995.42

Well, all those Kubricks (Series 7, Carded Shadowtrooper & Acrylic Case, Speederbike Box Set) plus a box of the latest wave of figures (Saga-#053-#062) killed me this past month (which was no surprise).  In the end, I went over budget by almost $1k.  I know exactly what that caused the overage (finishing up my carded Kubrick collection - R2, Vader, Sacul, Fett, Parco Sandy plus cases for all of them), but in the end, I'm glad I bought them this year because it's nice to have them in my collection.

Next year?  Hopefully, since I'm caught up on the Carded Kubrick Stuff, I'm going to try to get back down to the $1600-2000 range again.  I don't know how easy it will be with at least 100 basic figures already planned for 2007, but I'm going to try!  :D

OK, time for my tally:

2004 = $9858.00 US. Approx.
2005 = $6000.00 to $8000.00 US.
2006 = $7343.60 US.

Well the $$$ have dropped over the past few years but not by much, not collecting modern anymore really didn't help as I was focusing on other stuff.  :-\

What will the new year bring, hopefully less.  :P

I wasn't the best with posting last year, but here's a fairly accurate total of my spending.  More than I had hoped to spend, as always, but I'm hoping to start cutting back a little more this year.  Especially after the Mrs. asked to see the spreadsheets :P, and plus, now with a little one on the way later this year.  Here's how things ended up:

Star Wars - $793.77

Non Star Wars - $377.58

Total Spending - $1171.35

I'm shooting for half that (or less) in 2007, we'll see how things go :).  I'm keeping close track once again.  Just for reference the most expensive thing I bought last year overall was the Gentle Giant Chewbacca Mini Bust - $50.00 (+shipping).  A couple other purchases in that same range, but I think that was the highest.
