I don't know if it's a reissue or not. They changed the cover and added four tracks to it. I suppose I'll have to get it from Amazon or something.

Linky.

Here's just another reason why I hate WM  >:(

I don't think I'll have spent so much money on transformers at one single time other than this weekend.  Not that I'll actually find that Robot Heroes set, but on most of the other crap.  :-\

Well I just dropped 2 bills this morning on TF Movie stuff.  The Robot Heroes was the very first thing that I went for.  I may end up waiting to open stuff as I recall there are supposed to be exclusive 2 packs, but I'm not sure when those are supposed to be released.  There was even a Hasbro rep at the WM I hit who watched in horror as I tore through her freshly stocked display.  I even asked her about the Robot Heroes exclusive WM 5 pack and she had no idea what I was talking about.  ::)  I was the first TF buyer there so she even pleasantly escorted me to the register - that was cool  8)

I stopped at Target this morning and they had NOTHING! It was all set for product but the shelves were bare...

This forced me to go to Walmart where they only had HALF of what was supposed to be out. Luckily they had Optimash Prime ( ;D) and the Optimus/Ravage RH 2 pack. I really like these Robot Heroes and think i'll go back for the rest later today...

I dropped by Target myself this morning and they had freshly stocked the huge blank space allotted after the aisle reset yesterday.  The only thing that kind of irritated me was that there was three times as much space given to those Fast Action Battlers things as to the actual deluxe class toys (12 pegs for the former, only 4 for the latter, which were, of course, stocked full of Preview Protoforms).  Tons of the Optimus Prime and Starscream arm cannon things, and gobs upon gobs of those Scout Class repaints exclusive to Target.  They had about seven Leader Class Primes and only one Leader Class Megatron (the latter of which I picked up; I didn't see it again at any other stores today, so I'm glad I did).  Two endcaps devoted to TF stuff, with Voyager Starscreams and Ironhides, and wave one Deluxe class hanging out alongside the exclusive "Robo-Vision" Optimus Primes and the Unleashed Bumblebee.  Target was, for all intents and purposes, the best stocked of the three stores I hit this morning, both in terms of amount and variety.

Wal-Mart, after vowing that nobody would touch their toys until June 2nd, decided to only stock those two cases of Voyagers (SS, Ratchet, Blackout, and Ironhide) in addition to their exclusive Bumblebee vs. Barricade two pack on an endcap.  Other than the wave two Deluxe remanants from earlier this week (Swindle, Bonecrusher, and Jazz), they put NOTHING else out.  I did find a rather beaten-up 30AC Stormtrooper though, so it wasn't a total loss.

TRU got rid of about 75% of their SM3 stuff in the feature area and proceeded to stock the pegs full of nothing but the movie preview protoforms.  No deluxe class stuff other than that.  They didn't stock their exclusive Blackout/Scorponok pack either.  They did have the four Voyagers as well as the Leader Primes (for five bucks less than Target; no Megatrons though), and gobs of the arm cannons, Potato Heads, Robot Heroes, and those FAB things.  What was interesting was that TRU devoted about 2/3 of their Voyager stock space to the Classics Jetfire, Prime, and Megatron, leading me to wonder if they were shorted some of their stock they were supposed to get on the movie stuff.

So, between three stores, I wound up with the two Leader Class toys, two deluxes (Wreckage and Scorponok), and three Voyagers (Starscream, who is incredibly cool, Ratchet, and Blackout), after finding the wave two Deluxes (Bumblebee, Brawl, Barricade, Bonecrusher, and Jazz) earlier in the week.  So, my TF movie collecting is taken care of for a little while. :)

I wonder if this is the same Hasbro rep (I assume it may be unless this one's moved on to better things) that I used to chat with when I was spending more employment time at TRU. She was very nice and would take notes on concerns I made about SW product to send them to HQ, interested that I knew so much (not more than most of you) about it. She was so impressed by my interest that she gave me a Hasbro/RotS April 2nd Midnight Madness pin that she said each rep only got 2 each in their area.

Mkay..that was the other WM exclusive that I didn't find, but my TRU had a very healthy stock of the Blackout/Scorponok sets so I got that one, but I'm just not sure if it includes the mini scorpion from the voyager set.  I picked up everything that was decent - toy wise except for the 4 cars...as I know they'll be plentiful.  No scouts or the other lame battle things, but Arcee looks pretty sweet.  Still on the fence about Optimash Prime due to the Disney SW exclusive stuff.

As an FYI, Target is running a sale this week on the TF movie stuff.  I saw that the Leader Class (Prime was the only one they had, making me really happy I got Megatron when I did yesterday) was at 40 bucks (the same as the regular price at TRU), with the arm cannons marked down a bit, and the exclusive Robo-Vision Prime was 20 dollars (down from 25).  It looked like everything else was 10% off.

As I've had a chance to play with examine these toys over the last day or so, I've come to the conclusion that these are pretty cool items, and the robot designs don't bother me a bit.   ;D  The only one that I feel kind of cheated on is Scorponok, who doesn't even really transform at all, and in his scorpion mode he's interesting, so I don't even feel that cheated on him.  The only one that I really don't like is Jazz, and that's only his upper body.  The arms are horribly designed and executed, and his head/shoulder piece is just not well constructed, IMO.

Other than that, the Leader Class Prime is awesome and I recommend everyone getting one. :)

Oh, and iFett, there is a Deluxe Class Arcee coming later this summer (along with a 2008 Camaro version of Bumblebee and, IIRC, a Battle Damaged Jazz).  If I can dig up a photo before anyone else, I'll post a link.

Want...movie...toys...have...no...money.

I stopped by Target yesterday, and I was sorely tempted to pick up Blackout, but I held off. I'll have to wait until I get my deposit from my old apartment back before I can go nuts on TF toys again.   :(

Thanks for the info DP!  I knew that a new Bumblebee was coming out but had no clue as to a deluxe Arcee or BD Jazz....I still haven't seen leader Megs which is extremely odd as Prime is much more recognizable.

Looks like I have ALOT of returns to do this week due to the Targets sale.  ::)   If I recall correctly - all deluxes are $7.99 and everything else is 10% off.  Bah...I knew there would be a sale today, but I just couldn't resist getting an early start on Saturday morning.  Almost had the same feeling with the SW street dates!

Question - I haven't opened anything yet (due to sales)  The TRU 2pack with Scorpy..Is Blackout the same size in this set as the Voyager class??

**Sadly I had to pack away my classics to make room for the movie toys - except for Jetfire.  Not because I love him, but because one of his missle's got lodged behind my entertainment center the first day I had him.  I never thought that I'd be consumed by the movie stuff to this extent, but oh well I'm in for a good ride  ;)                        i hope

There's also a TF Movie special on tonight's MTV Movie Awards at 7c...cant wait!!

I still haven't seen any photos (or, thankfully, a spoiler-laden explanation) of the BD Jazz, but if they fix the arms, I'm all over it.  If not, it's a definite pass, as after getting the Leader Class Megatron and Prime, I'm definitely not getting the Voyager class versions as they will no doubt pale in comparison.

There was a review of the Deluxe Class Arcee posted on a TF board with photos, though, which you can see here

I actually like the look, even if it isn't in the film (it may be for all I know), so I'll probably pick this one up.  I'm still on the fence about Swindle, who is apparently a game-related character and not in the actual film, so any reviews of him would be appreciated. :)

I've noticed (at least around me) that the local Wal-Mart didn't get any of the Wave 1 dexlue assortment and instead got those "dump bin" boxes with multiples of Wave 2 (with Bonecrusher and Swindle, in addition to Barricade, Jazz, Bumblebee, and possibly Brawl), and I have only seen one Leader Class Megatron (again, the one I got at Target) in the wild at this point.  The transformation and/or alternate mode (of a Cybertron Jet) is a little wonky, but in bot mode he looks great and menacing as hell. :)

I stand (or sit, as the case may be) corrected.  Here's a shot of forthcoming deluxes from the back of the Long Arm package (apparently an Autobot tow truck from the video game):

L to R:  Arcee, Final Battle Jazz, 2008 Camaro Bumblebee, Payload, and Dreadwing
