I actually ended up modifying the hair slightly using the Saga Han in Carbonite and the Sideshow figure as models. After looking at it I did see that it could use a bit more shape and less volume (I feel like I'm in a Vidal Sasson commercial). I'll post pics as soon as the apoxie dries. Thanks for all your comments :)

Damn!!! That is one of the coolest Lukes Ive ever seen. The only complaint I have is the fact that the softgoods vest looks like its shredding a little. the parts fit together very well. the hair sculpt is dead on too. Altogether a solid figure. Excellent work. I need to get off my lazy ass and do one of these myself.

WOW I thought it was good before, the hair looks great.
As Ennis said I think that the soft goods are fraying(sp) also I think the soft goods could be a bit wider. other than that and you got one bad assed Luke

<sigh> Any tips on how to fix the fraying? I was considering maybe burning it a bit. Then again you can only tell close up....

I have heard people suggest clear nail polish on the edges.

That is incredibly cool! I am totally gonna do that if I get all of those figs!

How is its scale compared to other figs? is it as short as luke's supposed to be?

lestat, the new hair looks much better b/c its not so "poofy".  its a huge improvement, much more movie accurate.

as far as the fraying goes on the soft goods, BrentS is right, clear nail polish will do it, or even just some clear elmer's glue. just need to get the "frays" pasted down & then they won't be noticable at all.

wonderful job on this custom, i look forward to seeing more of your work and welcome :)

The hair wasn't a huge problem to begin with, but what you've done improves it immensely.  The hair seems to fit on his head much better now.  Great job.  Again, the idea and implementation were wonderful!

Here's one I did about a year ago. It's a 6 inch version of Jango Fett. I made him as part of a series of figures for custom con I called Star Wars legends.

Recipe:
Epic force Boba Fett head and backpack
ML Punisher body
Armor- scuplted

Mace Windu was also done while I was on my 6 inch Star wars kick of last year but was not done as a part of custom con

Recipe:
Head: Mcfarlane Shaft
Body: ML Punisher
Torso: Epic Force Obi Wan

I actually am in the process of redoing Mace with a cloth tunic. I got sidetracked though so we'll see if I end up finishing him.

Cool work, I'm liking that smaller 3-3/4 version of Windu a lot although I think the arms look a bit big in the joints areas.  Of course the 6" ones look great as well.  Interesting to see those.
