Admiral Piett.
Is he worth it, is his face accurate?

I have never seen a human character that is "face accurate".   e.g. Quentin Veers.

Is he worth what exactly?  That's the better question.

He's, compared to modern Impy's, a weak figure overall.  I was never terribly pleased with the likeness myself.  He's got a somewhat "walking" pose to him too which I never was fond of.

By today's standards he's a weak figure, though he's all there is too for that character, so if you want him that's it.  He should be cheap enough, there was no shortage of this guy, though for a time he was tough to find...  That changed fast though.

I agree with Jesse, not realy on the same quallity level as todays figures. However, I did acquire a few to use the head for custom imperial officers. I just put his head on the POTJ/Saga and Han At-St driver bodies and painted the hat black. He's perfect for that.

Could've even left it grey since there were grey long-brimmed guys on the bridge in ESB...  :)

It's a good generic head but doesn't look like the actor particularly.  You can see it, but you gotta look hard to do so. ;)  Better generic IMO.

Oh, because I can get him on card for 20$.   :P
I dont think I will get him.
I hope hasbro can make a figure that looks like him and keep his articulation.
Piett is one of my favorite officers so, yeah.

Definitely wouldn't spend $20 on him--but that's me.  He was an okay figure for the POTF line--nothing spectacular, but there aren't a lot of imperial officers out there either.

I just saw one at the local show here last month for $5...  He was hard to find upon his initial release but tons of his figure trickled out over time.  Definitely not a $20 figure on any level...

I just got a Piett via trade, and while he's pretty good, he's nothing to pay $20 for IMO.

Now that I have him, I have to say I like him, but many people wouldn't. He's got this walking leg stance- it's not overdone like General Gear Lando or anything, but it does border on preposed a bit more than the other POTF2 Imperial officers do (Tarkin and Thrawn, anyway).

His uniform is in fact a unique sculpt but very similar to Tarkin's in proportions and design- they matched up the tunic bottom a little better but it's still not quite right, I think Thrawn is the only time Kenner/Hasbro got that right while they were still doing "skirts" that way. The paint job is mostly okay but mine has this weird black spot on his left hip- it's scratching off by hand with some work, but it's something to consider.

As for the likeness, he looks a bit like the actor but not as skinny or aged. He looks like perhaps a younger Piett than what we see in ESB and ROTJ. He also doesn't have quite as many wrinkles as he should, I think.

Overall, a good figure, especially among POTF2s, but... it's a POTF2. And it's not really a masterpiece at that.

You could easily repaint his badge and make Admiral Piett if you prefer, though ;) But that would be a custom, not hte original figure technically.

Time to get a new head sculpt and slap in on the Veers body.
C'mon hasbro that would be a cheap fix!

He is not a bad figure and worth having but besides him Motti & Tarkin can use an update.
Hi likeness was not too bad. Do not pay more than $10 for him. :o
