My original list from last time:

  • Hem Dazon (Arcona) - Why do we STILL not have this guy?!?
  • Bom Vimdin
  • Elis Helrot (Givins)
  • CZ-3 - Gotta make the cool looking droids, dammit!
  • WED15-1662 Treadwell Droid (see above)
  • Tonnika Sister(s) - Workin' the convention circuit now, so there's hope!
  • LIN Mining Droid - Black half dome thing
  • Wioslea
  • Brainiac
  • Academy Biggs - from cut scene
And a whole ****load of ANH resculpts, but I won't get into those right now...   ::)

Wow, I didn't do so well there last time, going just 1 for 10.  So I guess with my #1 choice out of the way now, everyone moves up a spot, and I'll add Bannis Keeg (Duros #2) into #10 (since I can't customize for crap).

Since I had nothing better to do tonight, I thought I'd tally up the votes and see who is on the border.  Without a few more votes, looks like Wioslea won't make the list this year.  Personally, I was hoping either LIN-V8K and/or would be in the top 10.

The current standings for ANH (top 20)

#1    SA Han Stormtrooper  (17 votes)

#2    SA Luke Stormtrooper (16 votes)

#3    CZ-3 (14 votes)

#4    General Tagge (14 votes)

#5    Grand Moff Tarkin Resculpt (14 votes)

#6    Bom Vimdin (12 votes)

#7    Owen Lars (resculpt) (12 votes)

#8    SA Death Star Trooper (12 votes)

#9    Biggs Darklighter (Academy) (10 votes)

#10  Colonel Wulf Yularen (10 votes)

#11  Tonnika Sisters Two Pack (10 votes)

#12  Wioslea (8 votes)

#13  Brainiac (7 votes)

#14  SA Jawa (7 votes)

#15  LIN-V8K (6 votes)

#16  SA Dr. Evazan (resculpt) (5 votes)

#17  Hrchek Kal Fas (Saurin) (5 votes)

#18  Red Leader - Garvin Dreis (5 votes)

#19  SA Rebel Trooper (5 votes)

#20  Wed15-1662 (5 votes)

So....

Do we CONFIRM Luke and Han Stormie and Tarkin or leave them there?

Red Leader used to dominate these Wishlists and we got a craptacular pack in version and now, he's not wished for anymore

Are people happy?

Thanks...my point is that Han Stormie and the Tarkin weren't exactly what people had in mind, were they?

IMO the Han Stormie we saw is the perfect Han Stormie, save for the red lenses. I guess you're right on the Tarkin, I would've preffered a new sculpt with a SG skirt and knee joints, so he could sit down in his chair. Hopefully for '08 we'll see a "Ultimate" single carded ANH Tarkin.

We're getting two Tarkins next year.

There won't be another one for a long, long time.

...But we got a ROTS Tarkin in '05, then we got two new Tarkins in '07, so it's possible we might get an "ultimate" ANH Tarkin in '08 or '09.

Possible?  Sure.

Likely?  Nah.

They've already blown their Wilhuff wad for the next few years.  It'll be a while before we see one again in the basic line--if ever.

Am I ever?  **** no.

The Comic Tarkin is...  comical.  Nowhere near counting.

The multi-pack Tarkin is sorta in the running, but a resculpt it is not.  The uniform isn't vaguely correct, the headsculpt isn't vaguely accurate.  It's a disappointment to me and as such my desire for a resculpt Tarkin will stay on my wishlists till they make a good ANH Bastard of the Death Star or till you quit doing these Scott.

For my $.02, the Tarkin in that Impy Multi-pack is the only real letdown.  The costume's inaccurate as hell, and his headsculpt is inferior to even the POTF2 Tarkin.  I'm disappointed to say the least in that one figure...  Wulf's pants should be black too, not white, that's Hasbro's fault though.  The rest of the set is very cool to me, but Tarkin sucks eggs.

He stays on my list...

And Red Leader needs redone too.  Holy **** he's one of the only pilots with lines now that Lucas slipped him back in the film.  Give the guy a good figure.

Unfortunately for the trained talking monkeys at hasbro they will feel that they have satisfied us with the 2 Tarkins this year.  I guess their theory is wrong twice is one year is better than once right ever....

I don't count anything we saw at Crap-Com 06 as coming off MY list.

Would it be so damned hard to put knee joints on Imperial Officers?  Last I checked those 5 guys were sitting at a Table....can't sit to well with your legs straight out..
