« on: March 17, 2006, 03:44 PM »
I just received my copy of the Japanese Action Figure Database Book Volume 1.

All printed in Japanese, this is one awesome book chalked with lots of pictures. Here's some info on on the book:

It is a NEW Japan STAR WARS Vintage Action Figure DATABASE BOOK (1978-85) Vol. 1 by Takuya Kubo from Hobby Japan that published in FEB 2006.

This Book is only available in Japan and it is authorized by Lucasfilm ltd. with over 2000 photos. Totally, there are 6 Books which features other Star Wars Action Figures from 1990s up to now will be released in this year. Volume 2 and Volume 3 will be released in spring. It is worth to collect them all if you are a die-hard fns of STAR WARS Action Figures. It is very seldom to have book publisher like Hobby Japan to have Star Wars Action Figure Database guide in this systematically way.

The size of this Picture BOOK is 8.5" X 12" and has 128 colored pages and it is now hard to find and sold out everywhere in Japan.

The Content of this Japan STAR WARS Vintage Action Figure DATABASE BOOK (1978-85) Vol. 1 has the most completed database information about all Vintage Star Wars Action Figure Toys released from 1978 to 1985. It features :

The Book is very collectible and just like a BIBLE Book for all Vintage Star Wars Action Figures. It is really a must for every STAR WARS fans.

Though the book is in Japanese, it also includes the English name of each Star Wars Action Figures. It would be much easier for those non-Japanese readers.

This book is well worth it and is a nice addition to any collection.

The next Star Wars Action Figure Data Base #2 will only contain items from 1995-1997. Good for the modern collectors.

I finished leafing through this book - it's great fun.  There's a few great pages on foreign (to US) releases, like Japanese and European pieces.  Very cool - I look forward to Volume 2.
