Given the fact that they were giving away items of equal value to the subscription just for people to sign up, I was expecting more than 30 people to avail themselves of the offer. I mean, 30 people is like 1 or 2 an hour. I was expecting him to double his count. I thought it was an effective idea to get a lot more bounties.
Considering the cost of flying him down there, a booth at the convention, and the wholesale value of the hand-outs, I wonder if it would have been cheaper for them to just buy 30 subscriptions and give them away.
I don't know... maybe some of the people who signed up are still being processed. The tally doesn't update dynamically, after all.
