Maybe the 8 waves by March will be like the ROTS line.  We will get 8 new waves, then those same 8 waves will ship all year.

I got an e-mail from EE that says that this wave is IN STOCK. Can you believe that?  :o Three waves in one month. '06 will be done by March. :P

I think that e-mail just meant that the Carkoon wave was now in-stock.  The rest of the waves are just up for pre-order.... at least that's how I interpreted it.

Actually believe it or not, I think Anton is right. I went to a local dealer the other day, EPlanettoys.com, and the owner there told me the same thing. He said they were going to get the new figures in soon (within a week or so) I asked which waves, he said all of them, Geonosis, Coriscant, Carkoon, Hoth, and the Cantina. They order directly from Hasbro. He said there would be almost 8 waves out by March. this could really be one hellish year.

 :o :o :o

I've said that in jest, but I could never believe that it would happen. First, it would be killer on the wallet, and second, what would be coming out for the remainder of the year?

I read a rumor somewhere that the Carkoon wave was in production in 2004 as part of the OTC line, but got bumped due to the DVD release surprise. If this is true, I can see Hoth and Carkoon released on top of each other because of logisics. I, and my wallet, can only hope the others will be spread more evenly.

Adam Pawlus seemed to wonder himself in his Q&A today if there aren't going to be many more.  I'd say it's 50-50 we'll get to #100 this year.

 :o

I really hope this kind of speculation doesn't turn out to be true...  how on earth could they justify 100+ basic figures this year when they never did that many in any other non-movie year (aka a year with way more retailer support)?   ???

I'm not sure they need to justify it Jeff.  I think they're just trying to crank out as much product as they possibly can.

We've all speculated that the line may not go much beyond the end of 2006.  Maybe Hasbro feels the same way, so they'll ride the last year as hard as they possibly can, with massive product release.  100 basic figures, 12-18 VOTC figures, Unleashed big and small and whatever else they can crank out.

I'm sure sales were really good for ROTS so maybe they think they're recaptured part of the market again, if only for the short term.  Get the new figures out there ASAP to hook people?

Changing topics, among the multiple waves of this group of figures I picked this case from Newforce to order.  Hope I get it:
(2) Darth Vader Hoth
(1) Fire Pilot
(1) Commander Cody
(1) Neimoidian Pilot
(2) Clone Trooper
(1) Foul Moudama (Muftak Jedi)
(1) Anakin Skywalker
(1) Ki Adi Mundi (hologram)
(1) General Grievous (Bounty Hunt figure)
(1) Scorch (Bounty Hunt figure)

The only duplicates are Vader and a clone.  Nothing really from earlier waves and five clones total when you factor in the fire pilot, regular clones, Cody and Scorch.  Not a bad case at all and I think I'm only missing Obi-wan then.

That's a good one - I ordered the case that contained the chase Cody and AT-AT driver.

But I'm missing the Muftak Jedi... :-[

Well, with my MN bulk-buyer program we've got going, I decided to go ahead and pre-order one of all 5 different case assortments that New Force listed for this wave.   :-[

Hopefully Rick is on the money and that way I can just get all the bounty hunts straight from the cases and sell off the extras to the locals (since the NewForce price after shipping is less than Target or TRU).

I thought you were sticking to brick and mortar Jeff?   :P

I hope Rick has his info correct -  his information contradicts EE's site...

I'm envious Jeff.  With shipping up here it's not worth it.  Not enough guys seeminly buying stuff either.  Lots of buyers, but they're not on the boards for the most part.  Product disappears, but I've no idea who's buying it.

I'm not even concerned with the bounty hunts to be honest.  I might be down the road but I hope not.  I just picked the case I did because it had more "clones" than anything else.  And as ruiner indicates, I didn't see that case on EE so I'm hoping it's accurate.  I'll live with it either way as I really wanted the four clone case and everything else is pretty much gravy.  I might even have missed the case on EE.  Either way, it just resolves a lot of needs and now I don't have to go driving around (even though I will ::))

I never said that...  ???  You must be confusing me with another one of those "in it for the hunt / anti-online" guys arounf here.  In fact, it was me that pointed out that (at the moment), EE was the same price (or a little less depending on your POV) as the local Targets/TRUs.

I'll gladly order from Rick since his case price is cheaper than what Target/TRU/EE are charging at the moment.   ;)

And as ruiner indicates, I didn't see that case on EE so I'm hoping it's accurate.

I think the case you got is this one at EE:
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 4 - missing Obi-Wan Kenobi

Correct?  New Force just has the BH figures labeled where EE does not...

Yep, that's it.  Good news then, a five clone case is what I ordered.  Yippee.

Sweet merciful crap!

A carded photos from wave 4?  Maybe we will have them all by March...  :-\

Maybe it's just a promo photo from Hasbro since the guy who posted it is an e-tailer...
