Well I heard somewhere that his head actually comes off inside the helmet when you try to remove the helmet.   :(

I wouldn't doubt that actually.  The rigid helmet could easily cause that problem...  I've never been unhappy with the flimsy helmets.  Hasbro used a better plastic on helmets that needed it like Captain Antilles nicely done Fleet Trooper helmet, but like the Evolutions Clone helmet seemed ok to me (both or all 3 of them actually).  A rigid Cody helmet isn't bad, but gotta be careful like was said...  paint wear and head's getting lodged in there could be a big issue to come.

Yeah, I bought 2 and the first one I opened kept coming right off with the helmet. The damned thing's stuck in there now, and won't come out. The second I opened wasn't as bad, but it came off a couple times if memory serves.

I think I mentioned it in the 212th thread....guess they deleted it? :(

I combined it with this one Ook...  Just a merger.  Topics got changed just to limit confusion.

BTW try boiling the helmet/head or running it under some hot water and take a pair of needlenose pliars and tug the head out gently.  Should come right out...  May not even need to run it under hot water, but it'd maybe help.  You may want to cover the ends of the pliars with bits of napkin or some such too, to just not leave marks on the head or whatever.

I set my Cody in my clone display today and discovered that he has a hard time standing without his stand. :(

Yeah, he really kind of sucks. Preposed legs; tiny freak head; stuff keeps falling off (head, backpack thing); he seems to actually be on a smaller scale than the rest of the figs. The only thing cool is the helmet sculpt and other armor details.

I keep hearing this too...

Sounds like Hasbro has some splainin' to do...  That's a real shame too considering how anticipated it is.  The legs sound really interesting if they're pre-posed.  I was thinking it looked ok by photos but now...  Id unno.  I did think the legs looked spread apart awkwardly.

Yeah, the pics are deceiving. His stance looks pretty neutral, but it actually isn't. The ankles are bent, and the stance is fairly wide. The best thing he has going for him is the helmet sculpt and other little details. He looks pretty cool with his helmet on, although he's shorter than his troops.

Hopefully, I've panned it so much that it will surpass your lowered expectations. :D
