Pros and Cons

VOTC

Pros

Super Articulation
Great Likeness

Cons

Built in Vest
Loose blaster holdster
blaster not painted right

VSTC Han Solo

Pros

Removable Vest
Torso Joint
Super Articulation
Great Likness

Cons

The Trenchcoat is too short, it should be below his ankles
loose holdster

My favorite is VTSC Han Solo, VOTC Han would have been the best if his vest was removable.

Some figures are better had VSTC Han like

EB Chewbacca
Evolutions Darth Vader
VOTC Stormtrooper
VTSC Biker Scout
VTSC X-Wing Luke

I think both are fantastic.  But I am with those that thinks the VOTC Han Solo is one of the best figures Hasbro has ever done.  I am not saying it's the greatest as that is hard to do but it's my favorite Han Solo figure so far.

That is not to take away from the Endor version as that is a great figure as well IMO.  It's now surpassed the vintage version IMO.  The previous modern line Endor Han's pretty much blow compared to the vintage version.

I'd say I rate them equally...  Here's why.

-VOTC Han...  The sculpt is fantastic and spot-on, save for the hovering holster.  I'm a little miffed at a non-removable vest in this day and age, that knocks the figure down a peg slightly to me.  He is near perfect though...  I have some I like a bit better I think, but he's right up there with the best in the line really.

-VTSC Han Endor...  The sculpt is again fantastic in my view, with or without the jacket.  However, he has two flaws.  The same hovering holster VOTC Han has obviously, and also he has the noticeable gap and some slight sculpt inferiority without his vest on...  However, with this Han you get the spiffiest softgoods accessory in history, complete with working pockets even.  The blaster also got a paint upgrade despite its inaccurate sculpt.

To me they're equal...  Take the jacket from VTSC Han though and I'd probably lean more to VOTC Han.  The jacket made the figure (and made the price a fair bit easier to choke down).

I notice a lot of people mention the hovering holster; what I do to correct this is tilt his gun belt as if the holster is weighing down on that side (which it does in the film) and that gives the proper tilt to the belt and gets the holster against his leg.  Granted, it's not like Garindan's awesome holster, but it still looks good.  Remember that the gun belt is not meant to hold his pants up and be perfectly horizontal.

I prefer the 04 Han, both are good though. The 3 biggest flaws with the 06 Han:

1. Shiney/Glossy belt (The 04 Belt looks more real)
2. Loose Belt (easy fix)
3. Fat upper torso to get the upper body articulation.

He is still a good figure overall. I just hope they get the upcoming 07 Han Bespin Right, he is my favorite most want figure.
