A few McFarlane items listed with some tentative (where available) timelines for the coming year:

SIMPSONS BOXED SET -- Ironic Punishment - March 2006

SIMPSONS BOXED SET: Couch Gag -- May 2006

SIMPSONS SERIES 1 -- Treehouse of Horrors

SIMPSONS BOXED SET - no details given

SIMPSONS BOXED SET: Christmas -- November 2006 (who moved Christmas to November?)

Sadly I'll probably grab everything that has Homer in it.

I'll probably be doing the Homer thing again and leave it at that.  Unless there are some neat THOH things put out, that is.

Great. ::)  At least Walmart sells McFarlane stuff regularly, so it'll at least come around so I can look at it and decide first.  Haven't been to SCS forever.

Thanks for the pics Scott, those look pretty nice.  I totally missed the Simpsons WOS line, and have regretted it, so I might pick up a few of these.  That 2nd set you have pictured (the couch scene) is kind of tempting, and might make a nice display piece even if I can't buy anything else.  I take it the first set isn't quite out yet?  Where is the best place to pick these things up?

They'll probably have them at Suncoast stores.  I may or may not be buying this line.  I will have to see them in person first.  I'll buy them If they are as good or better than the Playmates stuff.

I saw the couch gag set at our local TRU this past weekend, and decided to pick it up.  I always regretted not collecting the WOS line, and this way I at least have a nice display of the entire family together.  They also had the ironic punishment set, plenty of both in stock last week.

I've seen both box sets at retail and while they look great, i'm holding off for the individual figures...

Picked up the Ironic Punishment set for $10 CAD on clearance at Walmart.  Just waiting for the Couch Gag set to hit the same price now.

In today's email from BBTS I located this:

I'm guessing I'll probably end up with this because of the Homer and Bart figures that fit well with other THOH stuff.

Bad news there for me :-\  Three Homers in that series spells $$ for me.

Has anyone seen the THOH set anywhere at all?

There are some packaging photos of the inserts over at spawn of series one now.  Not sure about these now, I'll have to see them when they arrive.  I'm still inclined to the THOH set and it appears to be coming out in the early fall, a suitable release time.

It's interesting to see how much series one of the figures changed from this:

Quote
SIMPSONS SERIES I:
Dr. Hibbert, Mr. Burns & Comic Book Guy
Homer & Marge
Bart, Lisa & Maggie
Flanders & Squeaky-voiced Teen
Snake & Otto
Disco Stu & Krusty

to
Homer and Bart Why you little...
Homer and Bart Simple Simpson
Krusty and Bart Kamp Krusty
Marge and Homer In the belly of the boss
Itchy and Scratchy Spay Anything

I think that first set was supposed to be THOH themed too.

Still haven't seen the couch gag on sale, so haven't bought it yet.  I don't expect the figures to reach clearance, so I'll have to decide in fairly short order considering how few figures stores are bringing in of the Hanna Barbera stuff (and rightly so, they're not moving well even if they are cool).
