You know, I might just grab a pack of these when I buy my weekly comics this week.

I'd really like Han and Chewie, but since they are rare and knowing my luck with HeroClix (trying to get a GL), I'll probably end up with a box of Bothan Spy, Hoth Trooper, Rebel Commando, and Rebel Pilot. >:(

Maybe I should just save myself the aggrivation and pass...  :-\

You know you want them Jeff...  ALL of 'em.  Give in to your desires!  Everybody's doin' it.  You don't want to be left out, and not be a part of the "in-crowd", do you?!   :-*

BTW, here's the link to the WOTC Star Wars minis forum.

And here's another good site, with the second best deal I've found so far on a Starter set and Booster case, which comes out to $118.50 (with the $12.75 shipping)...

And finally, here's a couple more pix, just to whet your appetite for these little suckers!

Do they have an ICMG planned yet?  And if not, I guess I'll be starting a new petition

Now THIS and THIS should be very interesting to keep an eye on...  Complete sets of all 60 figures, currently at $280 and $255, with 2 and 4 days to go respectively.  Damn!  :o

I made the local rounds at lunch to see who might be carrying these:  Borders bookstore - none, but they've got other HeroClix figures (behind the counter), so they may be a possibility in the future.  Two local Comic/Collectible/Gaming stores - one said they won't be carrying them, and the other is carrying them but sold most everything, and only had two Booster packs left for $13 each.  I held them to compare the weight, and it seemed like one did feel a little bit heavier than the other, but I ain't spending $13 on these things.  I much prefer the $7-8 prices online.  Checked Tower Records too, since they've got this type of stuff, but to no avail...

My case better show up tomorrow, 'cause I'm gettin' real horny for these little guys!   :P

Picked up a pack today at a comic shop, just cuz I couldn't wait anymore. 13 bucks for one damn pack... Good god...

Got Twi' Lek Bodyguard, Twi' Lek Scoundrel, Rebel Trooper, Snowtrooper, Royal Guard, Bespin Guard and Grand Moff Tarkin :) My Royal Guard has a bent to hell pike, good luck finding them not bent. Tried the boil and freeze method, but it's so thin it's already went back to bent to ****.

Not a bad mix there Bob, with only 2 dups.  2 VRs out of 3 sets is pretty awesome too!  Did the rest of your figures break down to 4 Commons and 2 Uncommons per?  Looks like it, since I think these are the 6 uncommons in there:

1 heavy stormtrooper
1 scout trooper
1 duros merc
1 ithorian scout
1 bothan spy
1 imperial officer

Bummer you got a jacked force pike and no VR Adam, plus 2 of the "EU" figures to boot.

Hopefully I'll have some breakdowns to share tomorrow as well...

Is anyone here going to be army building with these (like Dave mentioned earlier)?  I ask, 'cause I'd have no qualms trading some of my commons and/or uncommons for a rare or VR figure if someone was interested.

OK,

So, tonight, I went shopping at the Mall with the Mrs., and I decided to pick up a box at the gaming store ($12) to check them out.   :-[

Here's what I got:

Common figures (4):
  8  Hoth Trooper
38  Stormtrooper
51  Jawa
59  Twi'lek Scoundrel

Uncommon figures (2):
16  Rebel Officer
32  Royal Guard - also has bent force pike  :(

Very Rare figures (1):
31  Probe Droid

Booyah!  Pulled a Very Rare out of the first box I bought!

I didn't really think that I could tell the difference in weight when I picked out the box, but I did choose carefully and got myself a nice Very Rare, so maybe there is something to it after all?

Nice pull Jeff!  But since you didn't get a Han or Chewie, I guess you're just gonna have to keep on goin'...   ;)

Bummer to hear of another jacked up force pike on the Royal Guard though.  Man, sounds like that might be an across the board kinda issue unfortunately.  On a cool figure too.   :-\

I've been reading more and more case breakdowns from around the net, and it really looks like if you get a factory sealed case of 12 Booster packs, that you're gonna wind up with 4 VRs.  Haven't seen an example yet that differs from that.

So I'm almost wondering if it's a better bet if you're thinking about ordering as many as 12 Boosters at once, just to ask for them to be all loose and random, and not from the same case?  Might have some better luck, assuming the dealers aren't unscrupulous and weighing the sets to find the VRs to pull out and sell separately...

yeah, but then you could also get 12 boxes with no very rares... i'd rather take my chances with getting at least the 4 that i'm almost guaranteed to get.
