Apparently Series 4 (after the Clone Strike and ROTS sets) is going to be all "HUGE" figures, or at least the VRs will be.  From the entire Saga of all 6 films too, apparently.  I guess we're talking Rancors, Landspeeders, and the like...  It sounds like all the rest of the regular minis included in the boosters will just be rehashes from the prior lines though.

That's kinda lame. Just re-releasing the same regular figures and making some new VR's to get people to buy them again? Who's making these minis, Hasbro?

i doubt they would be reissues of older minis.

probably new versions of old characters. a new luke, a new han, in a different costume perhaps with new stat cards.

I'm still collecting, technically. I still need about 13 from series 1 but plan on picking up a case, maybe 2 of these. Depends on how good a price can be found again.

Got a clone strike starter and two boosters today. got two "very rares" already too. Count Dooku and Padme Amidala.
My biggest complaint is oen we've seen before, in battle droids no less. They come bent out of shape. I had to heat them with a hair dryer and the cold water dealie to make them stand straight. Otherwise this set is pretty badass, although some poses are ... interesting, such as the devaronian bounty hunter. He looks to be a gymnast. hehe.

Good luck with your new cloen strike packs when you find them guys.

Looks like a slightly different breakdown on the rarity and faction ratios this time.  Now we're lookin' at:

12 Very Rares (same)
18 Rares (16 last time)
14 Uncommons (16 last time)
16 Commons (same)

So we just got two Uncommons bumped up to Rare status, which should make things just a tad more challenging/expensive.  As for the factions, we're now at 26/22/12, whereas it was an even split of 20/20/20 last time.  Guess I can live with those changes...

Woohoo!  Just nabbed TWO Booster cases for $87.95 each, a "Starter" set for $12, and free shipping for everything (off of eBay).  So that should probably take care of the whole Clone Strike set (with a little trading) for just $187.90!   

Still expensive, but probably as cheap as one could ever manage.  I'd suggest you folks keep an eye on NeoToys auctions there if you want some similar mini love...

Picked up a case for $95 at FS today Matt.  Got 42/60.  I have 2 more cases coming on Thursday.  May be we can do some trading.  Let me know.  Also beware of the flat battle droids.  Actually they're kind of funny.

I'd be happy to swap some stuff, though it doesn't sound like you're gonna need anything with 3 cases coming your way.  I'll only need 4 more R's and VR's beyond what I get (after trading any dupes), which I should just be able to trade some C's and UC's for.  Managed to finish off my RS set last time with just 21 Boosters and the starters and a whole bunch of trading.  Not going to be quite as fun this time without all the wheelin' and dealin'!

I'm probably going to look into trading a lot of my Prequel C's and UC's, for more OT stuff from the OT that I'd like extras of.

Weird that some main Prequel players got left out of the mix, like Jar Jar (not that I mind), Dexter Jettster, etc.  There's really only 2 non-EU "Fringe" minis, that being the Bounty Hunters Aurra and Zam.  Kinda lame to have that entire Fringe faction with mostly OT aliens under some guise of "Mercenary", Bounty Hunter, or whatever...

Two reasons to 3 cases.  Can't help it, boosters are like crack to me right now.  I just have to keep opening them, lol.  The other i'm planning on making scenes with my legos.  They're like the same scale.  Instead of buying more legos these end up being cheaper per figure.
