Endor Rebel Soldier Variations
« on: November 30, 2002, 09:26 PM »
Friday, I was able to see the "clean" variation with no beard, and I have to say that it is quite different from the bearded. Very nice variation on Hasbro's part. It will give a distinct look to any army of them. Add in the POTF2 version, and it is just that much better.

I see a nice diorama forming, with a POTJ Leia General, a Han and Luke. Maybe the POTF2 speeders? Anyways, I like them quite a bit.

I have yet to see this figure in stores. >:(  But from what I've seen in pics this looks like a really nice figure.  I can also see a diorama with dead ewoks and burning AT-ST's. ;)

Well, I was able to pick up 8 of those clean-face soldiers on Black Friday, so I must have lucked out I guess.

He looks really good in online pics. Unfortunately, my TRU is so clogged up with the old trooper that I wont be seeing him for a while. :(

Guess my Endor army will be a clone one for now... :)

My TRU just got the bearded soldiers. Looks like I'll be waiting for this guy for a while. :-\

I have seen a few of this guy around. It looks like he is only one per case. It is a nice change.
Now to see the Rebel Fleet Trooper and the Imperial Guy. Wonder if Hasbro will just put beards on them or what?
For those of you looking for me. I am now at www.sandtroopers.com

I have found 2 at a local K-Mart 2 days apart. I must have hitthem as they pegged a new case both times. He's pretty cool, and army builders should be happy that the 4 it seems they will get in the Army building set (judging by the picture) will be shaved. Since the bearded are very easy to acquire, having an army of both will be fairly inexpensive to create.

I have also heard that Target will be releasing an Endor Celebration accessory set with C-3PO. This could mean a new 3PO and carrying throne. We are almost there. Just need a 5 figure set in a big net, Chewbacca and AT-ST and a Tree City playset and Imperial Control Center playset.

The beardless Endor Trooper has finally started showing up in decent numbers around here.  Nice difference between him and the original.  I share the curious sentiments about how this concept will work with the upcoming Imperial Officer and Rebel Trooper-Tantive IV Defender resculpts.

Check Walmarts, the ones in my area are getting the more recent figures in pretty good quantities, you just have to hang in there.  My Target finally got the motherlode too with the accessory sets & the latest dlx saga sets.

There doesn't seem to be anything new in my area.  I'm still finding Taun We and Jar Jar >:(.
