You know, this set would've made more sense as a Wal-Mart exclusive or just a regular open stock item being everybody wants 501st clones...

Yes, they are somewhat easy to customize (if you have the patience) but there's just something about production quality that wins me over everytime.

Plus it saves time!

Unfortunately with the blue clone being avail. in the single carded basic figures, the set's demand will surely drop. Too early to say how badly- we'll have to see on the avail. of the 501st basic clone too tell.

 ???

That's news to me, when did they announce the blue 501st clones as part of the regular carded line?

It's going to be a repaint of the SA Clone and numbered #65 - I think Hasbro's calling it a "Tactical Ops Trooper".

Check out the updated ROTS checklist if you'd like, Travis.   :)

Never under estimate the will of army builders. This set will sell very well. ;)

Anthony was only down there on Thursday, Jon.  I can't remember now who we were standing with when they started talking about doing that interview.  I think maybe it was Jay and Ricardo.

Now if you wanna talk army builders, then Ricardo will scare the living hell out of all of you!  :o   :P

That's funny..my son is the army builder..there's nowhere
in my house to put an army for me. I only get a small space on top of my dresser for my Kubricks( thanks wife for letting me have that much). SO, it's ok because my crazy boy has an army of clones all over his room hanging from the ceiling holding their clamps etc. A republic 170 full of black clones. several jedi ect....It's funny though- and..I always tell him" but, Who are they fighting ,son? You have all these clones and hardly any baddies????"

Is that Blood on his boots?  YIKES

As far as the sets go, I've got my Bothan Spies in Lubbock and Sweetwater (the 2 closest K-Marts to Fort Worth) and they have been instucted to snag them on sight.  I'd rather get them 3 at a time than try to find them solo on the shelves.

I think Matt ranted to Hasbro during the Q&A about those bloody boots. They use the right body to do the repaint, then hose it up by going overboard on things like that red dust, or blood, or whatever it is supposed to be.

I gotta say that a legion of 501st troopers with bloody boots is a little morbid  :o for my dioramas (and taste).  But on the other hand, I rather get bloody boots that I can clean up (paint over ;D) than no trooper at all.

You are never alone when there's a clone.

"Feel don't think"...and she slapped me right after I said it too.

My thought is that it was lava dust (or whatever the correct geological term would be  ;)).  I think Hasbro confused the Clones since the 501st wasn't on Mustafar, rather the Shocktroopers were, IIRC.
