Anyone want a giant Spider Droid?
« on: May 16, 2003, 12:26 AM »
I really want Hasbro to make this awesome droid/vehicle.

I already have three AAT's and plan on getting one more of those.  Then I'll probably get two of the Hailfire Droids and two of the Geonosian fighters.  So my Seperatist Army needs a couple of giant Spider Droids as well.

Think we'll see one in the Clone Wars line?

Yep, my future Geonosian battle wouldn't be complete without at least one.  And they'll go nicely with my pre-ordered deluxe spider droid, AAT, hailfire droid and geonosian fighter.

I'd definitely like to see one.  Perhaps it's on tap for next year's line?  We can't get everything at once, after all!

The only downside I see are the complaints (groan, uggghhh) about how it's not to scale.

An AT-TE would kick butt too.  I think they will make that and the giant Spider Droid before EPIII...

...at least I hope. :D

Anyone want a giant Spider Droid?

I want one of these so bad I can taste it!

I'd love an assortment of the Homing Spider Droid (that's what they call it on the OS), and the AT-TE. My life would nearly be complete!  :o

Yes. I would LOVE to have a huge spider droid.  Heck even more than an AT-TE.  I am doubting it will ever happen though :(

i thinkt eh AT-TE is very possible, but the giant Spider Walker is a no go, hell i'm happy for just the little one.

but i haven't seen a single new figure in liek five months.. so i doubt i will see that stuff either....

The little Dwarf one is pretty cool, but I think that a large one is possible.  An AT-TE is probably more likely, like you said dimetrodon, but it would be so cool if Hasbro did both.

well the reason i believe the giant spider walker will not be made is simply it would be underscaled and just ugly. what features could they give it other than some stupid missile launch. maybe lights and sound. or hell. walkine motion. i just don't see it as anythine that will seriously be made. just something we wish for like a sail barge.

Anyone remember the SPIDOR vehicle of Skeletor's back in the day?  It was a huge black spider w/ red legs, was electronic and it walked.  It was just freaking cool.

I think that Hasbro could do something somewhat similar in size to that, and make it under $40.00.  I would buy at least two of them.

CHEWIE, you probably remember from RS that I would buy 2 or 3 Giant Spider droids.  The thought of having them among my custom SBD and BD army running alongside them makes me euphoric.

Also, I've got that MOTU SPIDOR vehicle you speak of.  I saw it this past April in the attic when I was doing a little cleaning.  The decals are mostly messed up but it's in nice shape otherwise.  Damn that thing is old already.

jedirhino, please...
we all know of Hasbros Mental problems and constant hospital visits....

MOTU had a lot of crazy stuff made back int eh day,  most of which i doubt would have been produced today.

but giant vehicles ahve been made before..
i think about it now, the legs are smalla nd skinny.
it could easily be back in a small box in many pieces...

it does seem likely that we'll get one, but not this year.
and hopefully for all of you guys, nest year.
