Played through COD4 in less than 5 hours... good game, just wish there were another couple of missions. Why won't these games let us pick our own inventory? I want to start missions with my own weaponry.

Thanks for the heads up Bill.

Just a heads up for anyone using Firefox: it wouldn't let me advance to view my shopping cart so I had to do the transaction in my Safari browser.

Update: You can apply for a Dell Preferred Account to reduce the price by another 3%.  So my total was 349.54.

So no price drop across the board?  No reveal of the slim PS3?

Nope, not at E3.  Only big 'reveal' they had was the PSP Go, but that had been leaked online weeks before E3.

80-Gig PS3 for $350 in Amazon's Gold Box

It's looking like if Sony won't offer a price cut, then retailers are gonna take a stab at it.  First Dell, now Amazon.

Got my PS3 on Wednesday and finally picked up some games today.  Bought used copies of Resistance and Uncharted.  Have only played Resistance so far.  Not too bad, but pretty standard FPS so far.  I'm definitely going to get the XCM Cross Battle which lets you use a 360 controller on the PS3 because I do not like the feel of the DualShock at all.  I also played the demo for Valkyria Chronicles and really enjoyed that so I found a cheap copy of that on eBay.

I haven't picked up Resistance since I beat it. Very bland, in my opinion. I'd recommend finding Force Unleashed for $20-30, Call of Duty 4 for $30, and if you're into the NCAA games, just wait 'til next month for 2010 to come out.

I felt the same way. I can't believe they try to bill it as one of the best exclusive titles on PS3 and Sony's answer to Halo. It is just an average shooter, at BEST.

Resistance was fantastic for a launch game.  Almost 3 years later is shows its age.  I just started playing Resistance 2 after having played Killzone 2 - BIG MISTAKE.  The graphics in R2 are a joke by comparison.  It's still fun and challenging, but it looks way worse.  KZ2 is probably the best graphics I've ever seen.

Valkyria Chronicles is a top-notch game that you should absolutely pick up.

I've heard that about Chronicles but don't even know what kind of game it is. For my money, the best game I've got is Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution. I dunno, that's just something I do when I chill out... Go Greek on people's asses.

I played the demo of KZ2 and what's with FPS having R1 as the default fire button?  Doesn't make much sense to me.  Didn't they release an update that gives you an option of a CoD4 control scheme?  Using L2 to aim down the sights and R2 to shoot just seems more natural even though I'm disappointed with Sony's attempt to shape both buttons like triggers.  KZ2 was definitely pretty, but I don't know if I'll ever pick it up because I doubt I'd play online.

It's a strategy RPG with FPS elements.  There's about 15 campaigns.  You deploy your squad, then you have a round of movement/attack, followed by the enemy's round of movement/attack.  Unlike most strategy RPGs you actually control the attacks... it switchs to FPS mode and you get to pick your shot.  The faster you beat each level, the more XP you earn, and the better weapons/armor/troops you get.  On top of that it has a very solid and engaging story.  The levels are challenging and beating them well is very satisfying.

Isn't the PS3 remote the same as the PS2 - but wireless?
