If this thing does turn out to be playschool, I will actually be more excited. Give me a couple of galactic hero ships, please!

Over at the GH forums someone has posted a few pictures of a packaged Imperial Shuttle, apparently shown at a Mexican convention this past weekend.  It is in proto form (according to the post), but does seem to have the "Only at Target" sticker on it.  Hopefully this is still on the way, I know I'd like to pick one up if possible.

And it confirms that the pack-ins are Vader and a Royal Guard.

And rumor has it that it will be a Black Friday special.

Makes sense - why else would the price be so low?

I'd say the chances of this being a Black Friday special are very, very low.

I'll be grabbing one of these.  I've wanted one ever since I first saw them back in '84

The day after Thanksgiving, called "black" because it is hell for retail employees and shoppers alike!

Maybe, but it's really the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season and most retailers then find themselves out of the red and into the black.
Common sense isn't so common

Yep.  I thought it was black friday because retailers get into the black not because it was a "bad" day of shopping but rather a good one for the books.

For a company that spent a long time saying ships were tough to sell without a movie, they sure did find a pile of them to release this year.

Saga X wing
Saga mega TIE
Clone wars gunship
Obi jedi starfighter
Anakin jedi starfighter
Grievous wheelbike
Tri fighter
Darth's TIE
Mace's jedi starfighter
Plo Koons fighter on the way
Hailfire droid on the way
Darth's sith starship
AT-AT
Shuttle
Snowspeeder

That's 15, and some of these are big. Am I missing any?

I think the term "Black Friday" was intended to have a double meaning but MikeyD's is the more specific and factual one. :)  As someone who actually had some focus on retailing in his education, I can safely say the other meaning is certainly true as well...  How you look at the term really depends on where your dealings with the retail world on that day lie.  If you're in the accounting office it goes one way, if you're on the sales floor it really means that other thing. ;)
