I think I will resist because I know that if I pick up this set, I'd be tracking down all the rest in no time...  ::)

I've uttered these words before with another diminutive line...hmmm?  :P

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I have stayed away from these bust-ups, but that box set is very tempting.  You get all 6 BHers and then Vader on top of it.  I think I will resist because I know that if I pick up this set, I'd be tracking down all the rest in no time...  ::)

Bah, they're all inexpensive, save one or two.  Jump in...

Yeah... thanks, but I think Scott's newfound will-power is wearing off on me.  Either that or it's the fear of how much all those diapers are going to cost me this fall.   :-X

Costco my friend, big, BIG boxes of diapers.  Besides, there's what, maybe $200 worth of bustups out there?  The exclusives/chase are pretty darn cheap, hell, they're cheaper than most of us in at the start paid at retail:

GITD Heroes of the Rebellion would be $20 at most
Clear Yoda should run you maybe $10 at the outside
Vader/Maul chases are pretty much $5-7 each
Sith eyes Anakin is at retail price
Sith Lords blue holo things (Vader/Maul/Sidious) are pretty cheap
Ice variants are probably still up on GG's website for maybe $40 total
Clone 4 packs are generally at or below retail on ebay for both BD and regular
That leaves you competing with me for the cola chewie (the accursed cola chewie) and chasing the expensive three:
Original toyfair blue clone (you could live without, there are others)
Gree rifle
Gree blaster

Oh yeah, I forgot about the black hole stormtroopers.  Just customize some white ones.  I'll even sell them to you.  I'll even sell you a set of BD clones as well.

C'mon, you know you wanna.  Screw Scott, he lives in Mankato for goodness sake.  Stupid small town frugality, it's a disease I tell ya ::)

What?  Nobody cares anymore?  When's the next series due out?

Nice looking new "matchbox" style packaging:

From the GG Busts thread:

Are you all caught up?  I'm only missing two of the black hole versions, one Gree and the Vader from comic con so I expect to have that soon.

I'm still missing a few, haven't been actively pursuing them the last couple weeks.  I thought I might find a few Ice ones cheap on eBay, but they've been almost non-existent (based on my e-mailed searches from eBay).

Anakin Skywalker - Sith Eyes
Chewbacca - Amber
Darth Sidious - Holo

AT-AT Driver Ice
Darth Vader Ice
Han Ice
Snowtrooper Ice

Battle-Damaged White Clone with Blaster (short)
Gree with Rifle (long) - I have Gree with Blaster, so it's not a huge deal.

I doubt I'll ever even bother trying to get the Blackhole Stormtroopers.  ::)

Some awesome "other collectible" pictures from Chinese Star Wars in this thread over at snowtroopers.  Animated bust ups look pretty cool.  The other stuff is pretty eye-catching as well. :o

Thanks for the link Brent, some nice pics there.  Those animated bust ups do look pretty nice.  I was thinking I should start getting out of those, to cut down the collecting budget a bit (aside from the upcoming Han from the Cantina wave), but the upcoming ones look so tempting.  I really like that Han/Greedo bookend set, has there been any word on when/if that is coming out or the cost?

Mos Eisley Cantina Band Box Set due out September.  I bet GG did this because there's probably 5 different members you could get in series 6.

Pretty nice idea, and again, its tough to not collect these further.  We'll see if I have the willpower.  Also, disregard my earlier question about the bookends, I see they are on Gentle Giant's site as well.  Shipping around October the way it looks, at a price of $125.

I still like this line a lot and those band members don't do anything to discourage me.  The chase figures continue to be somewhat problematic, especially when associated with SWS.com but I've had better than average luck with that thankfully.

Box set is a very cool idea.  Didn't the original band have six members though?  And if so, would the regular release be the one you need to complete the band?
