Fire Fox
« on: June 4, 2006, 09:52 PM »
Ok for those of you who use Firefox, Are you getting the same problems Im getting?
I've had firefox for 1 month now and I love it until today.

Today pages aren't being displayed like normal. I have the latest version of Firefox but when I come here, the banner at the top of the forum is not displayed, and when I search on Ebay for auctions they say that I need the newest version of my browser and the page is displayed in text, and then on top of it I can't even open FFURG.

Do any of you guys know whats going on with Firefox??If so please help.

I love Firefox but do not have the problems that you are describing.

One problem I do have though is with Amazon - every single page there is blank when I use Firefox.  Explain that one!

It's probably a godsend though - I don't plan on shopping there much anymore being that they just signed a certain "celebrity" to host their new talk show...

I use Firefox and Safari. One of the big challenges with Firefox is that you have to think in Russian to fly it.

Hmmm oh well, I restarted my computer, deleted and reinstalled Firefox, and it still happens. So I guess I just have to wait till the next version of firefox.

2.0 is out!

I just downloaded it. I experienced no problems with transferring the bookmarks (including the bookmarks toolbar) and other settings--it does that automatically.

The most noticeable change so far is that the "tab close" button is attached to each tab instead of way off to the right. The new location will take some getting used to, but I like it--I just need to retrain my clicky finger not to go over to the side when I close.

I'm not so sure I like the spell-check--considering all the slang, abbreviations, and "Star Wars words" I type on here, I'm going to be wading thru a LOT of red underlines. ;D

Downloaded it last night, and like you, all my bookmarks carried over without a hitch.   And other than the tabs (and some graphics), not a whole lot has changed, as far as I can tell--which is fine, as there wasn't much they could improve on, in my opinion.

And I do want to say that FoxyTunes is the coolest extension of all time.
