The way I usually do it is give it to Dale, have him draw up names on one set of sheets, numbers on the other, pull them both out of the hat and that's the draft order.

I think all 12 teams should vote on live draft vs. forum draft.

I for one didn't really specify which way I thought it should go - I just said that our plan will be for a forum draft, but left it completely open if everyone wanted to live-draft and everyone could agree to a date before the cut-off point at which we'd need to be forum-drafting.

I'd like to offer to abstain from the vote to make it 11 votes, but I'll probably have to vote on behalf of the Golden Girls, so...

I won't be upset with a live draft, but abstaining or being wishy-washy won't help.

I really do like the forum draft, but that episode we had last year in the NBA league left a bad taste in my mouth.  I swear that draft order was totally legit.

At any rate, I don't want to talk about that anymore.

I just think that the only way to make sure we have a truly random draft order that eliminates all doubt of tampering is to have a Yahoo Live Draft.

So even though I love the forum draft, I'm gonna have to vote Live.

I just spoke to their manager, the Golden Girls vote Forum Draft

I'd prefer a forum draft, since I believe that I'd throw a monkey wrench into any live draft due to my work schedule at the moment (2-11 pm Mountain time).

Well that's 3-3.

We'll leave the voting open for another week and a half.  If August 10th ends and Live draft is ahead, everyone can have a few days to post dates that don't work for them and we'll try to work something out.

If August 10th ends and forum draft is ahead, we'll pick an order and set a start date.

I was looking at the league tonight and noticed we only have 11 teams registered so far. Who hasn't signed up yet?

Fightin' Armadillos is the only one I'm not sure who it is (assuming Nerfherders is Brian), which would leave Jay Double and Spud Trooper as the people who committed but I can't identify.  One of them must be who's missing.

I also want to encourage everyone to take a look at all of the scoring settings again - if there are any objections that a majority wants changed, now's the time.
