I'm going to need at least 3 of those 3PO's for dioramas in which he's sitting.

Wow, not a bad case pack at all.  Good work.  Just waiting for Rick to get that up.

While I love my Tarkin and Thrawn and am happily soon to have a Piett, I have to agree that all three could kind of use a facelift some day with the improvements made in newer imperial officer figures. They look okay on their own, but they look crappy next to the new guys.

Personally, more so than what they've actually done with the imperial officers, I think they should start making them with an extra soft cloth "skirt" and hinged knee joints- they don't need balls, commtech figure-style knees will do. This way they could sit or walk or pace around. That and the now-common angle cuts and swivel boot tops would make many a great imperial officer.

So much so that I kind of wish I had a spare (I don't even have one...) Jabba's Palace Luke, so I could steal his limbs and give them to Thrawn and do my own "skirt."

Me too.  Rick's a little behind (I'm waiting for the Tatooine wave and the second ROTS case).

Hopefully that choice DS Gunner will be as plentiful as the AT-AT Driver was in my area...

I agree with that Hunter.  The DSG has me worried because I too want a nice hefty army of him.  He doesn't look to blow the old POTF2 Gunner out of the water either, so that's nice to still have a figure that "fits", but the new one is amazing.

I plan to display most of mine sans armor and use my POTF2 as the armored one in my displays...

Jerjerrod looks comical really.  More like a generic officer than Jerjerrod...  Not unlike the Piett figure who I don't think looks like Piett very much.

On a nitpicky note, it's nice to see them getting IMperial uniform colors right finally, and doing so routinely.  Ozzel was all wrong, Tarkin and Motti weren't quite perfect (though Motti's close), but Piett, and now Veers and Jerjerrod seem spot-on to their colors, so that's a major plus to me.

I'm still disappointed at the levels of articulation in 2006 though.  It ain't 1983 here...  Can we get some knee joints? Even simple hinged knees are better than nothing at all.  It's a tad lame of Hasbro, especially with the crappy prices we're dealing with.

My guess would be the Hoth version...but I've been wrong before (I thought GL was going to ship in a mailer box)...

Just for the record - I was right for once!

I gotta have an army of the Death Star Gunner.  Man that's one sharp figure.

  :)

For a failed TIE Fighter Pilot, it not bad at all! ;) I hope to get a handfull of them as well. At least four and perhaps as many as ten. Outside of that, one Chief Chirpa and one Moff Jerjerrod and I can call that wave done. 8)

Me too. The At-At driver still hangs for a little while when stocked.

Don't worry Anthony I got your back as usual ;)

It seems though, that the prequel trilogy army builders move faster than the OT ones. I'm banking that the new sandtrooper will 'fly' though..

I'll take a few gunners and the ewok.  I'll probably get some customizing imperial fodder

Man, that Palpatine really looks like a doofus in that carded pic.

But it got me thinking...
I skipped that sculpt in it's initial release, due to his giant, honkin' hood.
But could you replace it with a hood from the EP3 Palpatine?
Anybody have both figures handy that could check it out?

Either way, this would've been a good time for Hasbro to release a soft goods Emperor.

We desparately need one.

Maybe someday in the VOTC line.
