Picked up the Kobe chase at Walmart today.  It was from regional cases.  They had over 40 Kobes.

They've been doing that alot lately. The Drew Brees chase was only sent to Louisiana by the case full. I can't really say this I agree with that as sports fans tend to vary wherever you go. Granted you have your group who root for the hometown team but I personally never like the home team so it makes it harder for me to get the players I want...

Word is that the Drew Brees Saints figure is showing up nationally, but only in those full case assortments down in Louisiana.  Hell, here in the NY/NJ area we got full cases of Gary Sheffield, Walt Frazier and Eli Manning.  It's just a regional distribution scheme that McFarlane has taken to so that local fans can have an easier time getting the local players.

I'm actually a big fan of the regional shipping.  Don't think I could've got Magic, Kobe 3 & 4, Vladimir, or West without it.

Same here.  It's been a tremendous help in both the NFL and MLB lines for me.  I'm hoping that McFarlane will do regional NHL cases at some point, because for the life of me I cannot get a Henrik Lundquist.  But I guess I would be pretty surprised if they were to ship a solid case of a goalie.

Picked up a Chase Derrick Brooks after a local scalper cleaned out the rest of the chase figures. A guy from the back let him go through 6 cases worth.  >:(

Don't ya just love that? :P The last NFL chase I saw at retail was the Joe Horn variant some time last year. It was the only figure of that series on the pegs, someone must have missed it or not realized that it was the variant. That was my last lucky day with SPs...

On another note, are you ready to sell Reggie yet??? lol  ;D

Ugly ass chase figure.  Picture is from ebay auction, collector shop in Ontario I believe.  Yes, I'll have to get hold of one.

Whew, yeah Bug.  What the **** is that?  I realize it's supposed to be like, lifted off a black and white photo or something, but McFarlane really did a great job inventing this "Corpse of Bobby Orr" figure.  Holy crap that's a ****** figure.

I think the vintage finish worked ok for the Robinson (and Ruth?) figures, but you're right, that one is zombified beyond a shadow of a doubt.  Sadly Orr is my all time favorite hockey player and even when I was playing goalie growing up, I was wearing number 4.

I'll get it on principle, but won't pay over retail for it. I am torn though, but only between whether it looks more like a zombie or more like a mime.
