Picked up my NFL Brandon Jacobs a couple of weeks ago.  I still like this line, but it had nowhere near the buzz that it used to.  That might have something to do with other toy companies having pro sports licenses.  Plus Todd McFarlane's total hatred of the New Jersey Devils has pretty much insured that I probably won't be buying any more NHL figures.

You forgot about solid cases of the Great One, too!

I saw, and left, the alternate Jersey Ewing at TRU today.  Just hanging there looking unhappy as ever.  THought he was a great basketball player, would have loved to have had a figure of him (and Baylor and Gervin and another Bird and another Ewing).....yeah, repetetive.

I received my Pro Shots Jordan figures - great sculpts and paint - horrible stands.  After one day, they both look wonky and ready to fall over.

I saw and passed on the Jordan at a TRU last week.  I liked it, but couldn't quite bring myself to buy it.  Partly because there were no sportspicks to hold it up to side by side to get an idea of scale.  No doubt Jordan should be in a basketball collection, but I'm just so meh towards most toys these days.   :-\

That and the fact that the face sculpts on these are terrible.

Saw the new NBA series with Conley, Mason, Bryant, Gordon etc. today, and what the hell?  They shrunk!!  McFarlane shrunk the figures!!  They're on average 1.5" shorter than all the other waves and smaller all around.

That's it for me.  It practically looks like another scale now, I'm out.

Did you compare them to the latest wave of Legends, which is even smaller?  When I first saw the legends I was in shock.  But I figured it was an overall downscaling of the stuff.  Nope, the new NBA stuff is a different scale from that, but worse as you pointed out, it's also a different scale from the original stuff.  Crazy and yes, I too am out on this stuff.  It kills me for the Legends stuff - a George Gervin figure?  Never in a million years did I think I'd see that and then it has to be hobbit-ized.   :-\

I've seen some of the new MLB Legends and regular sports picks.  The Lou Gehrig looks cool, but I passed on it for now.  The same goes for Babe Ruth and Jorge Posada.

I suppose I'll be sucked in on the Doan (below) and later the Selanne (new pose) in the Jets Jerseys.  So far the hockey scale hasn't changed, though I'm not a fan of the new paint/molded figures.  I can tolerate it for a couple of Jets though.  I dig the dual pins for holding the figure up, hopefully longer than usual before the "lean" sets in.

Anyone find the Doan or Brodeur superchase?

Nope,
As you can imagine, the Doan is a pretty hot commodity around here  ::)  I'll live without it, unless I stumble into one.

Bought my first NHL Sports Pick in some time.  McFarlane finally cranks out a Devil.  But sure enough, it's Marty, and McFarlane only made him because he's undeniably one of the best goalies of all time.  He won't make any other Devils since Todd is such an undeniable tool.

If anyone will be looking for any regs from NHL23 (Howe, Orr, Fleury, Ovechkin, Schenn, Selanne) let me know as I'm not after much of the regs and I have a case on order.  They'll be shipped to Minneapolis, so can be picked up locally there if you're interested.  Otherwise shipped out.  $10 and shipping.
