Proof's, Prototype & Flat Boxes.

As the title mentions, does anyone collect these?
Vintage or new?

I have only one proof card. An ESB FX-7 Medical Droid.

I don't collect those, but have always wondered how people acquire them.  How did you end up with that, and what's the value on it?

I got it from Dan Flarida over at GH. $45.
I'm getting an Acrylic Display Flat Case  for it from Oscar Didier. He makes them & other cases for figures.
You can check them out here:

He's really good.  ;)

Those are the coolest cases I've seen yet for Star Wars figures!  I couldn't believe he had one for Ephant Mon!  Wow!

I have an Episode 1 Jar Jar Binks proof card. I am working on acquiring the Prototype of this figure.

Hey DSJ I have a doctor friend who collects anything Vintage FX Droid. I am not sure if he has this card or not. I will have to direct him to these forums so he can check it out.
For those of you looking for me. I am now at www.sandtroopers.com

I've always wondered wher people obtain these things.  I have enough trouble finding the figures I want when they are released, never mind hunting down the proto's. ;)

Well I just added my first ever Prototype First Shot Stormtrooper from the Playskool Millenium Falcon set.

I always wanted a Prototype figure & this was the cheapest I could find.  :)

Updated with new picture.

That's a very cool figure indeed, and I love how it's all black in color.

Thanks to Dale here is a shot of my 2 vintage landspeeder protos.

The white one is a vintage first shot. Unfortunalty the upper thruster is missing. The windshield is a little warped. I think it was hand formed as it is quit a bit thicker than production

The second micro is a hand painted prototype. It lacks all copywrite dates and info. The neat part is that the painter left a fingerprint on it.  The lines were painted using a template but the body is all hand done as well as the figures.

Not a true prototype but interesting.  This is a green carded QA sample from hasbro. I am unsure how many they made of each item but it is not a one of a kind piece but a little more unique than a run of the mill Maul. They used the green cards to have the higher ups sign off on the product.

ROTJ Mock-up Bespin Guard. Hand glued esb-bubble on ROTJ proof card.
Was used as display/sample at Kenner and came from a gentleman who
was in the packaging department.

Lili Ledy Leia non sonic welded, with FS torso

Proofs, two ESB and one Revenge.

And the kings of my collection:

My two wbg First Shots.   :)

Also got this one:

Madine figure with wbg head. Not sure if proto at all but it
came from a Kenner employee find. Cool looking anyhow.  :)

Also got these slides (maybe not protos but from Kenner and some did
have an important role in the development of the packaging):

Used for the 31-back ESB wbg.

Ugnaught slide.

Image used for the tri-logo Romba(!) card back.

Sorry for many and large pictures.   :-\   :)
