Keeping up with my collection of Konami figures, I received my case from HLJ of Mighty Jack ships.

For those that are not familiar with the show, they are stories that focus on the agents and crew of the great Mighty Jack, a flying submarine battleship vessel, the product of some of the most modern technology of the world which it was built to defend from "Q," a terrorist organization that has set its eyes on the glory of global domination.  The 11 MJ officers based in Japan are called to duty when the international threat of Q strikes.  The plots involve heavy espionage, including bloody assassinations, issues of international infiltrations, and the sacrifice of one's life fro personal ideals or on behalf of one's homeland, with serious, sometimes grim, intense human drama. 13 episodes, 1968.

A cross between Impossible and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.  ;D

Kinda like Ultraman I guess.

Not sure how long it will be up, but someone over at the Art Asylum Boards has a scan posted from ToyFare, featuring Marvel Minimates series 8 and 9.  Looks like Wave 9 will be comprised of Blade, Punisher, "Patch" Wolverine :-\, Lady Deathstrike, New X-Men Cyclops, and the White Queen.  More info at the link, while it is there.

Yawn...another line where I've given serious thought to dumping a bunch of non-Avengers/Spidey and Secret Wars era figures.  I'd like the FF figs but the rest are not so cool.  Where's Thor?  Where's Vision?  Where's Hawkeye?   BORING

I kind of feel the same way about the upcoming lineups Scott.  I guess I'm just not a big Punisher/Blade fan, so those don't do much for me.  I like the Fantastic Four figures as well, so I hope to pick those up.  Enough with Wolverine already though, yikes.  I would have liked to see more Avengers as well...and to be honest, if they are going to do X-Men, I'd rather they would be from the same "era" as the Giant Sized Box Set (which I don't have anyways :P).  I think I might stick to those types of figures in this line....Spidey and his crew, Avengers, Fantastic Four, and "classic" X-Men.  I agree, let's see figures like Vision, Thor, Hawkeye, Beast, Iceman, etc.

hmm, that's cool, but it's an odd choice of characters... no jack? no sally? zero? is that the only kubrick item they have done so far from nmbc?

Nope...I just so happen to have two of them.

There are at least 11 different NMBC Kubricks out there

2 Box Sets

And then several individual figures spread out through the Disney Kubrick Line

That last Santa Jack is the most spendy of the bunch...between $60 and $90

As for the minimates, way too many Wolverines and Things. Its a little too X-Heavy (as is Marvel Legends).

Just received my third set of minimates, via Amazon.com, this afternoon:

This is a pretty neat set I think, Captain America is one of the best made minimates I've seen yet, and I also like the unmasked Spidey and Doc Ock.  Absorbing Man I really don't know much about, but its nice to add another baddie to the mix.  These little guys are becoming quite addicting :).
