Hi all,

I'm pretty new in here.  I've posted my customs in that thread.  Here is my collection.  Enjoy!

(5/8/08 Edit:  I took the old links out since many were broken)

:o Okay, let me pick myself up off the floor.  Damn,  you have a lot of cool pieces in your collection.  Color me green with envy.

Those are fantastic pics!  I really like how you've grouped your loose figures in themes, that's exactly how I'm planning on displaying mine in my new room.  8)

Is the vintage stuff part of your collection as a kid or did you track those pieces down recently?

Nicely displayed BTW.

Thanks!

Most fo the vintage peices were from when I was a kid.  The ones I used for customs were either no longer valuable or double that I have picked up over the years.

Glad to see someone who still collects MicroMachines! ;) I also like your 3 sabers you have! Are they customs? They look great!

Thanks.  I had collected many of the original Micro Machines.  My little brother had collected almost all of them.  He's 10 years my junior.  When he turned 20 he declared that he was too old to collect toys so he gave me all of his.  That included most of the Micro Machines, plus it gave me a lot of army builders and a box of custom fodder.

I built the three sabers from original designs.

How do you go about dusting all that?  I'd get so frustrated with them being dusty but then I'd go insane have to stand them all up everytime I dusted.

I love that Ewok village!  I have it, but it is the reused copy they made for the Robin Hood set.

That's nearly always the first question when people see the room in person.  "Who dusts it?"

Well, I've been in the house 2 1/2 years.  I've reorganized/expanded the shelving twice.  Things have been fully dusted each time, so I guess I do it about once a year.  If I keep the room to the door closed when not in use. dust is not as much of a problem.  There are, however, tiny spiders everywhere...  or maybe their tiny B'omar monks?

I've revamped my displayed collection a bit.  Due to lack of shelf space, I ended up putting away the Legos and Micro Machines (However, I'll repost the old photos for "archival" purposes anyway).  I have also hung many of the vehicles to leave more room on the shelves.  It's still full.

It's a meager collection compared to some showcased in here, but the room is still my happy place.  :)

Let me know what you think.
Collection

I love the deep shelves you've used, it really allows a lot more depth to your dioramas.

the room is still my happy place.  :)

I know the feeling.  My room always puts a big dumb grin on my face.

Nice set up!  I like the classic duels near the window.

I have the same feeling in my collection room....now if I can just get everything set up!
This is the way.
